The Park; Late Sunday Night.
It took just a night of having them out to make Setsuna realize that she hadn't used her wings in a very, very long time. She'd forgotten how much they could hurt after so much disuse; putting them back in for the night hurt, which made made cuddling with Jude after the party difficult, but thankfully still doable, although, once he fell asleep, the pain was so acute that she remained awake and uncomfortable. They wanted to be used, not just displayed. So, still in her white dress, Setsuna carefully crawled out of bed, being very careful not to disturb him, and slipped outside. Her wings unfurled again easily and, with a deep breath, she set off for a late night flight, the moonlight guiding her way...
...It'd been so long...It felt...so good...
...but it was a lot of work. Setsuna made it to the park before she needed a break, carefully landing and perching herself on a bench, feet carefully poised and balanced on the edge of the back and she sat looking over the pond, wings stretching behind her. She sniffed, realizing that she was crying a little. She wasn't sure if it was from the pain of using her wings again, or the beauty of it.

plot deviceMizu. He stops when he happens to look up, catching the view of the angelic Setsuna in the lamp light. He can't really react for a few moments. Mizu tugs on the leash to get closer. Big birdy friend yay! If it weren't for Mizu's loud barking Ranma might have simply stared then turned back. He wasn't sure he could talk to her when she was looking so... beautiful...no subject
"Oh," Setsuna blinked as she looked down, and then slowly lowered herself back to the ground, landing softly. "Ranma. //You...startled me...Well, Mizu did, anyway."// She gave a nervous smile down at the dog; she hadn't forgotten about the incident when she was crow...

//"I...I guess that means my costume's a success, huh?"// She looked up with a lame smile, a nervous little laugh. He couldnt' possibly mean what he was saying, right? He was just...being nice to her, or something....That's it. Being nice to her to make up for Mizu scaring her like that. That was it.

Well, that was partially true, but she wasn't going to admit to it. //"My costume. For Halloween."// She smiled a little. //"I'm an angel, see? Technically, it is a costume..."//

Don't you worry Setsuna... you're my angel every day...//no subject
It was either the angel or the bunny suit. And she was not wearing the bunny suit.
Impulsive, Setsuna shivered for a moment, the chill of the night reminding her how thin the white dress was, being really quite a summer dress in all respects. The shiver started in her shoulders and went rippling through her wings, all the way to the very tips of her feathers as they spread themselves out magesticly. They were enjoying being out, having so much room to stretch.

//"Thank you, Ranma,"// she said softly.

//"I..."// You what, Setsuna? She didn't know. //"I...I know I don't have to...but...Thank you anyway."//
She wanted to say that she was glad she had a friend like him at times like these, but couldn't quite get that out.

This was just terribly awkward. Setsuna didn't know what to say, or what to do, could only just stand there, fidgeting under her wings. She wanted to just fly away, but that would be too rude. She didn't know how to handle a Ranma like this. Her brain searched for something comfortable, something to argue about, because, while she hated fighting with him, at least she knew how to do that. But her mind was a blank. Was it just because it was so late? Or was another part of her just trying to cling to this nice moment, with him complimenting her, being kind...
But it wasn't a nice moment, it was an awkward moment. She wanted to be rid of it.
//"S...should I let you go? I...I didn't mean to interupt your walk with Mizu."//
Although you didn't interupt it, you idiot, Mizu interupted you. Her shoulders sunk a bit with a sigh. Why could she never just feel comfortable around him?

//"Ranma, wait!"// She took a few jogging steps up to him, stopping as he stopped, giving a small smile. //"You heading back to the dorms? We might as well walk together."//
