Fandom High Welcome Picnic, The Park, All Day: Part II

"Completely. For a second when I first saw her I thought you'd been girlified again."

"But that's crazy," Sam said. "And I know we pretty much deal in crazy here, but that's kind of beyond the limit."

Dean pointed out Abigail. "Check it out yourself."

Sam followed where Dean was pointing and stared. "I never thought I'd say this again, but I think this place has finally found a way to shock me again."

"So you haven't met the turtles yet?" Dean asked with a grin.

"I...no?" Sam said uncertainly. "Turtles?"

"Yeah. Human sized anthropomorphic turtles," Dean said. "There's two at least that I've seen." He grinned suddenly. "But you can break their brains with Fandom weirdness as easily as humans."

"They're...turtles? Like, real turtles?" Sam asked, feeling his own brain starting to break a little. "You shouldn't enjoy messing with people as much as you do."

"Have you broken your little sibling yet? The school assigned one, I mean."

"Nah. She's built of sterner stuff than that. Even took her to see the ghost at the Sin."

"Hey," Dean protested. "I've had you for 15 years and I haven't got you killed yet."

"Yeah, but I also know how to handle myself around ghosts. Does this girl?" Sam asked.

"Dude, I was right there. I wasn't going to let anything happen."

"What if she'd done something supremely stupid, and you couldn't stop her?" Sam suggested. "No matter how awesome you might be, that was still dangerous."

Dean rolled his eyes. "Yes, Mom. Look, I knew what I was doing. I wasn't going to let her get hurt. Trust me."

Sam rolled his eyes, sighing. "I do trust you. I just think that maybe the new students could deal with a less steep learning curve."

"She was fine with it, really," Dean said. "I wouldn't have taken her if I didn't think she could handle it. Give me some credit for being able to read people."

"Okay, I'm sorry," Sam said, not wanting to fight. "I shouldn't have doubted you. Did she seem to like checking out the ghost?"

"Yeah, I think so. Kinda freaked a little, but not in the scream and run away way. And it was probably the quickest way to get her to believe I wasn't just hazing her or something when I told her about the weirdness that not only Fandom but our lives."
