Fight Club, Atlas Gym, Sunday Evening
Tyler paced the gym barefoot as the fighters assembled. "Graduates," he began. "Students. Teachers. People who work in town. Miscellaneous others. Welcome to fight club."
"We're glad to have you here," Ghanima continued smoothly. "But if you're here, you fight. If, for some reason you cannot fight, we ask you stay towards the back. This isn't a place for voyeurism. If you want a show, go find a television."
"Ghanima, you speak my language," Tyler informed her., before turning back to the group. "Two people to a fight, fights end when someone goes limp or says stop. We are not trying to kill each other here; we're trying to train. We're trying to improve. Got questions, ask one of us." He looked at his cohort. "Anything else?"
"Rules are on the door," she said crisply, "but we're happy to answer any inquires you may have."
"Now go hit the mats or go home."

Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
This was his last Fight Club before leaving the island. There were a lot of lasts, lately. If he looked a little twitchy while he mingled with the people there, that would be why.

Dude.
"If I'd known sooner that pullin' my pants down was all it took to do a graduation well, I would'a started moonin' people a hell of a lot sooner," he decided, smiling at her. He was not getting all choked up, dammit. He just wasn't. Much. "These are awesome, yoto. I don't even know what to say."
Sure he did.
"Thank you."
Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
omg modded!rack of safety equipment next to them. "I should be thanking you," she teased. "Having such a dedicated student is an honor to the teacher.""And as your teacher, I have one last lesson for you."
Ghanima smiled and placed her hand against the side of his face. "I am charged to say this to you," she said, her words slipping into the clear ringing tonals of the Voice, letting it carry through the gym. "I stand in the sacred human presence. As I do now, so should you stand some day. I pray to your presence that this be so. The future remains uncertain and so it should, for it is the canvas upon which we paint our desires. Thus always the human condition faces a beautifully empty canvas. We possess only this moment in which to dedicate ourselves continuously to the sacred presence which we share and create."
"I am proud of you, Reno."

Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
And, at the same time, he felt completely humbled. The future remains uncertain. An empty canvas. Oh, shit, he was going to get all emotional, here. Not gonna get all teary. Nope.
He'd just shift his weight a little from foot to foot. Resist the urge to find something to cling to so that he'd never have to leave. The closest somethings were Leto and Ghanima, after all, and he doubted either of them were particularly clingy.
"This is a sort of graduation ceremony, huh?"
Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
Ghanima's lips twitched in a smile as she cast an arch glance at Leto. "And we both know what the other Bene Gesserit think of me, brother-mine. They'll hardly be shocked that I'm going around creating rogue agents. Furious, but not shocked."
Male rogue Bene Gesserits. Ghanima was very lucky the Sisterhood was too frightened of her to protest.
Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
He kind of wanted to reach out, and pluck this moment out of time itself, and keep it in his pocket. That way, he could just reach in and hold it for a moment whenever things seemed too damn hopeless.
"They're good words to have," he decided.
Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
"And if your plants do die, just write me, and we'll see about finding another alternative."
Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
Reno was moving to give Ghanima a hug. He was going home tomorrow. He kind of really needed one.
"Thanks," he mumbled. "For everything."
Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
"Sometimes we all just need a little encouragement to try the path less-traveled."
Re: Arrive + Mingle [Fight Club, 5/3]
...oh, Zero.

"Sure thing! Uh. Have a good... fight. Club... thing."
Weird person with the cool hair.
It was possible that he would never understand. Alas.
