Graduation Weekend Brunch | Early Afternoon | Sunday | May 2

With the ceremony completed and the graduated officially done with their high school careers, a brunch had been planned to celebrate the occasion and allow graduates, their guests, and the other inhabitants of the island to enjoy some good food and good conversation outside. The weather was warm and the sky was clear.

Fraser had been busy helping set up since the early morning hours. Apparently, Dean Stinson had gone a little overboard with some of the food, particularly the cake. The huge sheet cake arrived via truck and, where Fraser thought he'd be able to carry it, ended up having to use a forklift to get it to the park. From there, it took several people to lift the cake onto a table of its own. It was that big. Fraser hoped everyone enjoyed and hoped everyone was prepared to take a lot of cake home.

There were also several other tables of food and drinks, ready to be enjoyed. There were tables and chairs situated around the park, covered by tents to keep it from becoming too warm.

And there was cake. Please don't forget the cake.

"I'm only here until Tuesday," Zayne said. "So I might have time for a quick seminar, but that's about it."

"Oh," Rose frowned a little. "That's too bad. I wish you were staying longer."

"No, there isn't," Zayne said. "I'm sorry I can't stay longer, too. There's just not enough time left with some good friends. And yes, you're included in that."

"I agree with that not enough time left part," Rose agreed, giving him a little smile. "Also the good friends part. I'm going to miss you."

"I'm sure I'll be back for any kind of reunion things. And there's always e-mail which exists in Star Wars," Zayne said.

"I don't know when I'll be back," she admitted. "It'll depend on a lot of stuff, but email? Lots of that. I wanna hear how your Trials and stuff go."

"Well, the commencement ceremony is supposed to be in September, so you'll get updates soon enough," Zayne said. "Are you going to be here all summer?"

"Yeah, all summer," she said, not entirely enthused. "My trials are at the end of August sometime. So I'm here until then."
