"I am installing Trouserless Thursdays into the mix, Tino," Wallace said as he began taking off his pants. "I have decreed it so, as manager of this bar."

You didn't have to tell Tino twice. You didn't even have to ask him once. He dropped trou without prompting.

"Oh thank god, you're wearing boxers," Wallace mumbled as he went to grab himself a beer. "Worried there for a minute."

Jaina hadn't been here since she worked last week, and it was kind of messing with her. Which was really sad, by the way. But it meant she was coming in today, stopping a moment when she saw who was behind the bar on what she remembered as Chuck's night.

"This is going to take some getting used to," she said.

[Pantsless Tino? I had to.]

"What is?" Wallace asked, completely oblivious to anything weird going on.

"Your face behind the bar, instead of the other your face behind the bar," she said. And just because she was planning to be a smartass, she looked over the bar to check for pants-

"Oh Tino why."

"It's Trouserless Thursdays," Wallace explained. "Tino's being a good employee."

Check out how much Jaina wasn't looking down behind the bar anymore. "Trouserless Thursdays? This is a thing?"

"Today's the first one, but so far it's been a big success." Meaning that he and Tino liked it. "I think people will enjoy the freedom of having their pants off in public."

She froze. "Wait, are the patrons supposed to have their pants off, too?"

"Well I can't make you take your pants off." If only he had that power. "But you can if you want."

"I think I'll skip it this week," Jaina decided. And the week after. And week after that. And the one week she was gremlin-bitten enough to decide to do it, that'd be the day she ran into her ex here. "Please tell me whoever's working Fridays now gets the job of cleaning the seats, though?"

"Hey, I won't allow naked people sitting in here. This is a business," he said. "Underwear required."

Jaina glanced at Tino warily. "You promise?" Someone had had previous trauma.

"Scout's honor," Wallace promised. "Nobody wants Tino's junk flopping around."

Oh, Wallace. Jaina squeezed her eyes shut, then opened them quickly. "I think I hate you for that visual image I now have." Closing her eyes just made it more vivid.

"Really? That was nothing," he said, looking a little surprised. "I can make it way worse, if you want."

There were times Jaina hated, hated that part of her brain that refused to not want to know everything. "...And now I'm going to hate myself for asking how."

"Well I haven't even touched on the fact that he clearly doesn't wax," he said. "So it would be floppy and most likely unkempt."

Okay, Tino was starting look insulted now.

Sorry, Tino. While Jaina had expected to be horrified by the answer, instead she found herself giggling. Really, how could she not? "You're right, that is worse."

It's always Trouserless Thursday in my apartment.
