Barton-Pryde Baby Shower, The Onsen - Monday Afternoon

The Onsen was decorated in tastefully gender neutral pastel greens and yellows with a sign directing guests of the shower to where they were meant to go. And, for a change, the island wasn't doing something strange to mess up a party!

...no one point out that just saying that was jinxing things. Just go on in and enjoy the party, hoping that no nefarious brotherhood of evil anythings showed up.

"Good job, Clint," Steve said with a smile. "How are you feeling? You didn't have to spend half of a vacation peeing in a pot, so that's probably a good thing..."

Steve Rogers: terrible at talking to women.

"Exhausted by everything. What's this about peeing in a pot?"

This was important.

"Our trip to Athens took a sliiiiight turn to about 3000 years ago?" Steve offered.

"...Okay, chamber pot aside, can we redo that trip? That sounds amazing and togas are really comfortable," she said. "How was it?"

"Incredible," Steve said with a grin. "We saw the Acropolis when it was still shiny and newish."

"I'm so jealous. And you saw it on a detour?"

Jealous. Super jealous.

Steve nodded. "We were supposed to go to modern Athens, but...Portalocity."

"This is better," she decided. "You can go to modern Greece anytime!"

Sure, they could also go to ancient Greece anytime, but not the point.

"Plus our cheap vases are instantly priceless antiques," Steve said. "That was kind of swell."

"Dammit, now I really wish I'd gone. Could have paid for college."

Siiiigh.

"Pretty sure we brought back more than we need," Steve said. "Would you like one?"

Kitty paused. "Wait, really?"
