Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

Steven was once again in a good mood when he got to work at the Museum that day. He took particular care with making sure the exhibits for new residents were looking shipshape, and that there were plenty of maps to hand out if anyone needed them as well.

While busy behind the welcome desk he hummed a song to himself that perhaps sounded suspiciously like music he and Llewellyn might have ended up dancing to on their date night together.

"Oh, tbd," Nell said. "As long as nothing comes up. Gladio is taking Ignis to the Three Minute Date event, so around that."

"That'll be nice, make new friends perhaps," Steven said. Then, since Nell seemed to be so comfortable talking about it, he ventured, "And a good sign for you and Gladio then? That you'd like to go camping with him?"

"A good sign? I guess so." Nell smiled at him. "I like doing lots of things with him. And we both like being out in the woods. I think in general being with Gladio is a good thing."

"Well, a good sign that you enjoy spending that much time with him, yeah?" Steven said. To himself he also thought that it was also good sign that Nell felt she could trust Gladio enough to be alone in the woods with him.

Nell grinned. "It would be a bad idea to go on dates with someone I didn't like spending time with, so yes, definitely a good sign then."

As for being alone in the woods with him... she was probably safer there than anyone else on the island would be.

"But that's good then," Steven said, smiling. "You being happy. Things progressing well enough for dates, yeah?"

Or to call them dates at all when talking about them.

"Mmmhmm, we've been doing that for a while now." Kissing, too, but she wasn't going to share that. It was too private.

She looked a little daydreamy. "We just have a lot of fun together. He seems to make everything fun."

"I'm glad," Steven said. "You deserve a bit of fun, you ask me. Especially how you work yourself to the bone with your shop and your jobs. Rest and fun is good for people."

"I am enjoying myself," Nell admitted, "But actually I work much less here than I ever did back home, so it doesn't feel so hard."

"Will you be getting even more time off now that the seasons are about to change?" Steven asked. "I seem to recall you telling me summer was a particularly busy time of year due to everything growing. Am I remembering that right?"

[mylandmyrules]

"Things are much more quiet in the late fall and winter," Nell agreed. "I'll still have plants growing, but not as many."

[hasaknightjob]

"So even more time for... camping," Steven said with a smile. "Or other things."

[mylandmyrules]

"Maybe," Nell said with a smile. "We'll see how that goes." And how Gladio felt about it. "But I'll certainly have more free time."

"Fingers crossed for what's best then," Steven said.

Whatever that turned out to be.

[mylandmyrules]

"I certainly hope that spending time with Gladio will fill some of that time," she said. "I don't know if that's best, but it's what I'd like."

[hasaknightjob]

"Well then that's what I'm rooting for," Steven said, making a gesture he hoped looked encouraging without knowing for certain if he knew what such a gesture should look like.

Nell laughed. "Thank you," she said, "I appreciate the support."
