Tino was giving Jane exaggerated shocked and confused looks about her coming into the bar to set up for the evening. Because he was Tino and not at all for any other reason. Really

"Okay, okay. So maybe I've been busy," she sighed, hauling one of the kegs that he'd been ignoring down to where it needed to go.

Steve side-eyed Beaker down on his stool. "Yet," he said a little dryly.

"I'm married to Tony Stark," Steve said with a grin. "I've learned to read a room for potential dangers."

"...alright, I'll grant you that," Jane was just forced to admit.

Steve laughed. "Thank you. JARVIS tries to save us from Beaker's more exhuberant plots."

"Beaker? Really?"

Look, she could speak Muppet thanks to the whole Mjolnir thing. Maybe she just didn't get it.

"He had an entire class last semester trying to break into the maker's space in the tower," Steve said with a grin. "Little tower? Smallish tower? Place where Tony, Wanda, and I live."

"Huh." It was just weird how she hadn't realized that! "Well, he's been pretty normal here?"

"Well, I'm glad to hear it," Steve said earnestly. "I don't think he's trying to be malacious. He's just...excitable."

"Ahhh," Jane replied. "Well, hopefully it works out for you?"

"I feel very safe at home," Steve said with another smile, sipping from his glass.

Jane gave him an answering smile at that. "Are you planning another party for it?"

"It's been a while," Steve agreed. "Maybe something in April? I'll try to stop Tony from buying a new chandelier for it."

He would fail.

Jane raised an eyebrow at that.

"Now, I'll admit to mostly knowing Tony Stark through the media and Thor, but..."

Yeah.

Steve sighed. "Yeah, it's probably futile, but I have to try. We donate them to art museums after he gets tired of looking at them, so it's not terribly wasteful."

"It's sweet at least." And it was. "Maybe you could make it into a charity thing?"

"That's a good idea," Steve said. "We have a few we help out with."

"Maybe you encourage everyone to help with that," Jane suggested. Because she was super good at big events.

Steve made a little face. "But fundraising parties aren't as much as party parties."
