Thor had one of the mixology books Don had borrowed for him from the library with him tonight for his shift at the bar, although he would be keeping it well clear of the bar and the potential splash zone.

He was not, however, venturing into the realm of wild creativity just yet. It was too hot for that.

"Thor!" Eric greeted with a smile. "Settling in well?"

"What about this one?" Thor asked, which might have made more sense to Eric if he'd had his book open or at least been looking at it, but made perfect sense to Thor, and also to the person he was actually talking to: Eric was, like Navaan, a vampire and hot, and also apparently sane!

He didn't offer.

Hm. That was a problem.

A beat.

"Eric," Thor said by way of slightly belated greeting. "Yes, I believe I am getting my bearings quite well. I have been...brushing up, as it were."

"Brushing up?" Eric echoed. "Oh, on drinks?"

"It has been some time since I was called upon to mix a cocktail," Thor admitted. Probably about since Tony quit drinking. "But the skill, like any other, comes back to one with practice."

"I just make Tiny do it," Eric admitted easily. "I don't serve humans."

Eric was a snob.

Thor looked over at Tiny, and then back at Eric. "I am not certain I trust him with complex tasks." Sorry not sorry, Tiny.

"I have found they need to be a little complex or else he uses his free time unwisely," Eric said.

"...That is also a reasonable assessment," Thor had to admit. "He is...creative." Bless his heart.

"Far too creative," Eric said with a nod.

"I will take your counsel into consideration," Thor said. "You know his character far more well than I, after all. I thank you for the advice." Even if it was born from being a vampire snob.

Thor valued his advice! Eric was just going to hold onto that for a while.

"He makes a pretty decent martini," Eric added.

"So do I," Thor said. Another relic of pre-admitting-he-had-a-problem Tony Stark, but still. Don't take this from him, Eric. "I have many skills."

Eric grinned. "I'm looking forward to learning all about them."

"I might be persuaded to offer a demonstration."

Thor restrained a wince and stood his ground. Sorry, Don. He had to. Look at Eric.
