Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey was back from an unexpectedly long trip home as of this morning, and after she got settled, she'd gone to the warehouse as usual.

In her absence, the woodchucks had recruited the raccoons and thrown what was basically a kegger. It looked like the aftermath of a teen movie party, and now someone (all the woodland creatures on the island, apparently) were in trouble with the parents (Rey).

She'd shooed everyone out and was now cleaning up, occasionally saying things like, "When did this place become a zoo?"

"The second thing. I don't think they'd listen," she said. "I've had to use bribes for small things."

Anakin frowned thoughtfully. "Well. Can we bar them from being here entirely?"

"I don't know that I'd want to," she said. "It's their home."

Squatter's rights.

"But they don't need to know that," Anakin said

"I think they've kind of figured it out," she said, grabbing another red solo cup to put in her trash bag.

"Probably why they felt emboldened to throw a party," Anakin admitted.

She frowned. "Maybe a really big bribe would work?"

"How big a bribe?" Anakin asked.

"No idea," she shrugged. "A pony?"

Which would not help with the zoo.

"To ride on?" Anakin asked.

The mental image was definitely amusing.

"For whatever reason anyone wants a pony," she said with another shrug. "I'm not actually serious."

Anakin laughed. "Juliet wanted one when she was eight. I still don't know why."

"Are all the other eight-year-olds getting them?" Rey guessed.

"As far as I know, zero eight year olds actually received ponies," Anakin said, "but they all asked for one."

"One more thing I don't think I'll ever understand," she said.

Anakin laughed. "It must be an Earth thing. I was wondering if it was a girl thing."

"I'm not typical," she pointed out. "Maybe when I was really little?"

No, not even then.

"You'd want to ride on something better than a pony," Anakin said.

"It's why I built my speeder." She still missed it.

"That's so much better than a pony," Anakin said.

"Yes but I'm not giving them a speeder," she said. "That... I can't even think about that."

It'd just be Ewoks on a speederbike.

"Oh, that would be a launchpad straight into the lava," Anakin agreed.

"Which is what we're trying to avoid," she nodded. Full circle.

"Maybe we can come up with some sort of covering for the more dangerous aspects," Anakin said.

"That might be a challenge with the lava," she noted.
