Luke's, Sunday
The cooking staff was feeling adventurous again. Kanan didn't quite know what to make of that fact, except that it involved making hamburgers... but using pancakes as the bun.
"I'll try this once, he said to the cook as a plate was tentatively shoved his way. "But I can't guarantee I'll finish it."
He'd finish it. And he'd go back for seconds.
Welcome To Luke's!
Today's Specials:
Hamburger Pancakes, we guess?
It should be noted that nobody should hold themselves to Kanan's standards. That was a dangerous thing to do.

"Hamburger pancakes?" Because that needed some explaining.
[[and guess whose day totally ran away with her!]]

Because usually that something ridiculous was, at the very least, amusing.

"Well, now I have to try them," she concluded. "But might I say, in a very loud voice so the kitchen can hear me loud and clear, that it sounded awful. I mean, what do you use for condiments? Ketchup or maple syrup? Would you add whipped cream? What about pickles?"
no subject
Because pickles and whipped cream was not a combination that the Earth was ready for.

She narrowed her eyes again, considering, as if it was even an issue. "Sweet," she decided. "Hook me up with some syrup and whipped cream on that bad boy."
And, because she had come on a mission, she added, "Also, you owe me shopping, Bus Driver Guy."
no subject
He would not judge if it got spit out, honestly.
"And I do owe you that, don't I? Have anything in mind for that?"
no subject
"Orange juice?" she decided, though she didn't sound nearly as sure at first. "Yeah, I think that'll work. And you mentioned there was a store here in town, right? I haven't been there yet, that's a good place to start."
Because she naturally had much bigger plans. "I haven't even been there yet, that's amazing."
She also didn't have money when she got here, so, no, it wasn't really that amazing, Summer.

He was pretty sure she'd at least keep him out of robes or something.

That was super helpful, Kanan. Thank you.
"And black. But I'm pretty sure everyone looks good in black. Which is counter-intuitive in the summertime if the goal isn't to broil alive until fall.

"Actually, I like that," Kanan admitted, blinking. "I mean, I'd rather not be too attention-grabbing with black. Gray sounds-" like something a Jedi would wear, "- a bit more my speed."
no subject
But now she was slightly bouncing. "So when can we go ? Do you get a lunch break? If you leave, will we come back and just find pancakes everywhere ?"

Blue, he'd already worn! Back when he was smuggling things around the Galaxy with Kasmir. It wasn't a bad look on him, really, but it was a recognizable one.
Sort of. He'd been a scrawny kid back in those days. At least he'd kind of grown into himself a little more since then.
"Just as soon as you're done eating if you want, I do, and yes, probably, but that's really nothing new anyway," he replied, ticking his answers off on one finger.
no subject
Because it totally worked like that.
[[ ahahaha, I suck, I'm sorry, omg]]
