Outside the FTPD Precinct
Kate can hear the faint sounds of scuffles from outside. She attempts to concentrate on her work, but has a vague feeling that this is more than the usual blithe brawls. After several moments of contemplation, she stands, resigned.
"I'm going to see what's happening out there," she informs the other officers. Without another word she strides out the door, hand on her gun.
((OOC: I'm not entirely sure where the station is in relation to...everything else. If it's plausible for someone to walk by...))

"Hey!" She says, yelling to be heard over the downpour and the wind. Her dark hair is plastered to her forehead and face and her wifebeater is soaked through.

"When I think I've seen everything..." All the while, her hand tightens, ready to pull her weapon at any second. She knows better than to let supernatural lightshows distract her.
(( It's handy, being an angel.))

"Hallo- from the park, right? Have you seen anyvun else around here?"

*breathes*
"Vhat? Ve're surrounded by the valking dead, and she doesn't think that ve are real?"
She takes a deep breath, and glances around the surrounding neighborhood. "It looks like things have calmed down a bit out here. I think I'm going to head back to the school, see vhat's happened. Or you do vant another hand down here, still?"

I apologize if you find this...bothersome. But I really need to get everyone's attention.
*He closes his eyes for a moment, and then takes a deep breath and speaks.*
[OOC: Yes, it's very handy. At least he hasn't inhabited anyone's body yet -- that'd be canon. ;)
And, by the way, what he's saying can be found here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/90224.html).]

"I can never be sure." She pauses, surveying each person, and taking in their anxiety and strain. It seems her suspicions are correct.
"What exactly are you running from?"
Re: *breathes*
She also takes a moment to look around. "The streets on the south side are clear, I checked," she replies. "Right now, we're just trying to get the last few stragglers inside and over to his place." She points over at Aziraphael. "I don't know how many people we've got over there right now, though."
Shane rakes her hair back out of her eyes and off of her forehead, squeezing some of the water out of it. "Hey, uhh... you go to Fandom High, right? If you see Rogue at school, could you... let her know I'm okay?" She asks hesitantly.

Mike has shown up with Briscoe.
"We've got a ton of weapons back in the station folks. If you know how to fire a gun or throw a bottle of holy water, we're the place to be."
Re: *breathes*
She looks to the north, and towards the school. "I'll see if there's anyvun left vhen I head that vay. Several are already at Aziraphale's shop, and I think another group is taking shelter at Championship Vinyl."
Sonia sighs, and uncurls the whip again. "Rogue? She's the girl who alvays vears gloves, yes? Of course I'll let her know. You're...Shane, right? I'll tell her.
"Stay safe. Good luck vith the others!" Sonia gives the other girl a last, fleeting smile before turning heel and running back towards the school.

She closes her eyes briefly, then nods.
"Zombies. Right. That's the head?" For all she knows, it works differently here.

*Parker slams into the wall next to the PD, firing Gordon's shotgun behind them*
I think they're only a couple blocks behind us!
*she checks Rob, next to her*
You all right? I thought one of them almost had you--
Re: *breathes*
"Yeah, that's her... and that's me. Thanks," she murmurs, giving her a genuinely thankful smile. "You, too! Watch your back, man!" She holds up her hand in farewell as Sonia departs.

"Zombies," she pants. "Behind us. Two blocks."
Re: The cops
Did you come to fight them, or to protect those in hiding?
no subject
She takes in Logan's words as she recovers.
"Holy water works on zombies?"
no subject
"I'm fine. How are you?"
no subject
Thank you. I apologize for...before. I should have given you warning.

She fires one more time, and then opens the door to the police department.

*Aziraphale raises his sword and takes a few steps and places himself between the zombies and his small group of allies.*
You can also take off their heads.

Re: The cops
Briscoe looks at the wings and smiles.
"I think you might know better than me on what to do here. I've stocked the PD with a ton of holy water, stakes, guns whatever we need, I got it."
no subject
Kate narrows her eyes and pulls out her gun, taking position a few steps behind and to the left of Aziraphale.
She aims, and lets herself feel no pity at all for whatever comes within range.
Re: The cops
Re: The cops
The holy water will be useful, but it would be best not to let them get close enough for you to use it. The stakes won't be of much use against zombies. But the guns will be. Aim for their heads.
*He looks at Briscoe with wry smile.*
This is, ah, not my usual line of work. It's good to have...allies.
no subject
Great. Now I don't have any bullets and I'm down one Modest Mouse t-shirt.

*click-click*
Right. So.
*takes in the sword and wings, just gives up on having the night make sense*

Briscoe loads his shotgun and primes it.
"It's been a long time since I've seen a monster movie. I take it a shot to the head will work as well?"

"Stop. Shivering," she ordered him, rubbing his arms. "Stupid males with their macho heroics. Jesus. Can we get some coffee over here?" she demanded, picking up the gun again. "Freezing wet guy, needs to be warmed up!"
She squinted out the barred windows, wondering if the zombies (ohmigod, zombies) had gotten lost on the way to the police station.
They really were awfully slow.

I think.

Erm, well you see, I do very much enjoy books, and it's always worked well as a, erm, cover, I suppose...
*He clears his throat.*
I really do think we ought to be concentrating on the zombies now.
