Chaucer's, Late Thursday, After the Big Brawl

Geoff opens the alley door into the back of his shop, and surveys the destruction. Jay and Silent Bob appear to have cleaned him out of all but a six-pack of beer and the gift Marty sent.

Sighing, Shane follows him in. She heads straight for the table and her chair which has her hoodie, which has her cigarettes inside. She takes a seat, pulls her cigarettes out and lights one, letting out a weary groan.

[[You expected less? You're never gonna get rid of them now!]]

Geoff throws his coat over a chair and flops down onto the couch, which seems to be the only undamaged piece of furniture in the room.

"Hell."

"Fuck," she sighs in agreement, smoke escaping her lips with the word. Standing up, cigarette dangling from her lips, she grabs the six pack and carries it as well as her cigarettes and lighter over to the couch, where she flops down beside Geoff. She places the six pack between the two of them and grabs one of the beers, holding it out to Geoff.

Geoff accepts the beer from Shane and props his feet on the side of a broken chair. "Paige. is. going. to. kill. me." He takes a long drink from the bottle.

Frowning, Shane pulls her own beer out of the pack and opens it, taking a drink. "It's not your fault that those two had a thing with the little guy," she says resonably.

"Nope. Not my fault. However, Paige is going to see 'crazy men breaking things and trying to kill each other' and never let me host another gathering ever."

"It just... got a little out of hand," she murmurs, taking another sip of her beer. "But at least you know, from now on, not to have Han and Jayne in the same room together."

"I'm very seriously considering not having Han or Jayne in this room at all. That was uncalled for, I don't care if they both did have a 'thing' with Bagoas. If they'd wanted to fight it out, they should have taken it outside and declared a duel like decent people."

"Yeah," Shane sighs, letting her head settle back against the sofa cushions as she rubs at her eyes.

Geoff tilts his head toward Shane. "You all right? You didn't get hurt, did you?"

"Nah, man, I'm all right," she murmurs. "You okay?"

He nods. "A couple of bruises just from trying to get out of the way, but otherwise nothing." He looks around the room and then takes another long drink. "I guess I'll be spending tomorrow cleaning this up and replacing all the broken things. Any idea where I might find furniture in this town?"

Opening her eyes, Shane also takes a moment to look around the room. "No... sorry," she says quietly.

Geoff sighs and sinks his head back into the couch. "It's all right. I'll figure something out tomorrow. Right now, I think I'm going to get very drunk and then go crawl into bed with Paige. Wanna join me?"

Looking over at him, Shane can't help but chuckle. "Join you in bed with Paige? No, thank you," she says. "Not that it doesn't sound tempting." She pats him on the shoulder and stands. "I'll take off so you can go do that. Later, man."

Geoff laughs. "No, Shane, although I think I deserved that. I meant join me in getting drunk." He smiles up at her and raises his beer in a toast.

"Thanks for your help tonight. Next time we get together to drink, though, let's go out, okay?"

Shane turns and looks back at him as she retrieves her hoodie, holding her own beer up in toast as she chuckles. "No problem," she murmurs. "And yeah, let's do that. There's this sweet little club I found on Della Street. I had to go over there to drop off something for Deb. We could check it out."

"Sounds good to me. Be careful walking home, or wherever you're headed next. I'll see you tomorrow at the Dive."

[OOC: Mun will probably not be online tomorrow, so please assume -- and pass along to Deb, if you would -- that he's reported to work early and is being a good boy washing dishes in the kitchen. ;)]

"All right, take it easy, man," she says, offering him a smile as she slips into her hoodie. She takes one last sip of her beer and leaves it sitting on the table as she heads out.

[OOC: Probably a good thing I didn't show up and gotten into a brawl.]

[OOC: Geoff is going to be completely morose and bitchy about this for days. ;)]

It was a kinda personal thing. But I thought more than 2 was required to make a brawl. I thought 2 put it at "fisticuffs."

(ooc- Paige could in theory make it all better, (both with the room and Geoff) once you get back, also you can assume she left or was fast asleep, your call)

[OOC: I think the hate between Han and Jayne counts as it's own entity. :)]

[OOC: Yeah, I think we'll assume that she was out/asleep (must be a heavy sleeper). Probably alot of it the mess will end up tossed in the alley before Geoff goes up to bed. Also, I'm sure it'll turn out to not be as bad as it looks to him, once it's cleaned up.]

(ooc-yeah her being back at school would make more sense, I'm just catching up with the thread now, but I'm guessing she'd not have just stayed upstairs. Her and Piper would have done something, at least Geoff didn't end up naked!)
