George is in a very, very bad mood.

I'm not drinking. Not this early, anyhow. Brenda tells herself as she stands before the counter. "Hi, could I have a jasmine tea and a pumpkin muffin? Please?"

Without a word, George shuffles from the counter to pour the tea. She pulls a muffin from the display case and puts both items down in front of Brenda without fanfare. "Three dollars."

Brenda pulls the money out of her purse and pays.

"Thanks."

She takes her food to a window table and sits flipping through a paperback novel.

Tonks, in a horrid mood, wandered sulkily into the Haven, glaring at her shoes if they had wronged her somehow. "What has the most sugar in it?" She asked. Her voice would've sounded more impressive, if it hadn't cracked quite so much.

"The brownies," George replied distantly. "For an extra sugary punch, I'd get a brownie and a a hot chocolate."

"I'll take that then," Tonks muttered, her scowl lifting somewhat.

"Good choice." George leaves for a few moments. When she returns, she places a large brownie and a mug of hot chocolate in front of Tonks. "Three bucks."

Paige walks in feeling slightly nervous, she was meeting Jonathan and really had no idea what to talk to him about, he was so shy and innocent, not like Sawyer or even Geoff for that matter

"Hey George, can a get two brownies and a coffee please?"

"well I've not been possessed in a while which is always a plus. You erm don't want to talk about do you?" she asks this so it sounds more like statement than a question

"Nope." George replies tersely. "Not especially." Her expression softens a bit. "Though, uh, thanks for asking."

Paige smiles a little taking the coffee and brownies, which she hoped Jonathan liked, I mean everyone liked brownies right?

Jonathan arrives at The Haven a few minutes late, he was unbelievably disappointed in himself for making a lady wait. Also, the cuts on his back hurt something feirce and putting a shirt on for his date only made it worse.

"Paige," he says, walking towards her table, "I'm so sorry I'm late."

George stiffens when she notices Jonathan walk into The Haven. A dull sort of fury begins coiling itself in her gut. Bastard, she thinks fiercely. We'll see how much longer you get to traipse around campus scot free.

The bell on the door tinkles as Logan and Allie walk in, causing George to look up. "Hey," she says distantly. "Anything I can help you with?"
