Fly By Night is open a bit later than usual today
Right after school, Ivanova jogs down to the rickety little dock and warehouse and her shoulders sag as she sees the place closed up and the biplane gone.
"He could have at least left me an uplink saying he was going out for the day," she muttered, groping around on top of the doorframe for a moment, tripping a small lever that set off a complex system of strings and marbles and a few dominoes, and a moment later a key fell from the sky. She unlocked the door, pulled down the shutters, poked at the coffeemaker until it turned on, then relaxed back into the comfy chair and spread her homework out on the desk, wondering if anyone would wander by today.
