Carmen is strolling through the park, mentally composing a list entitled "Things I Haven't Stolen Yet".

It's rather short.

She'd welcome interaction with anyone who doesn't have a grating voice isn't Shirley.

After checking that everything at C.R.A.C.K. HQ was in order, Kawalsky headed back through the park intending to go back to campus. He was busy meddling with his pez dispenser/communicator and wasn't watching where he was going.

Carmen was paying more attention to her surroundings, but even so, the lack of a full-on collision was probably more good luck than good management. "You might want to look where you're going." Carmen's tone was more amused than anything, and she might have been smiling.

"Sorry," Charlie replied. His hand was out, balancing himself and ready to balance the woman just in case. "Not usually many people around this time of night.. to run into, that is."

Carmen shrugs. "It is rather quiet here tonight," she admitted. "Then again, I'm used to big cities."

Fixing her hat, which was actually perfectly positioned on her head anyway, she sort-of smiled at the boy. "Carmen Sandiego."

"Charlie Kawalsky." He nodded. "You new in town? I don't know everyone, but, well.. small town and haven't seen you around."

"Just moved in last week. I'm running the travel agency. But if you ever stop by, don't expect to find me on the premises."

"Travel agency?" Charlie looked surprised. "Small town, but it seems to have everything and then some. I bet you'd get some real interesting destination requests."

"Where there is a need for travel advice, I'll fill it," Carmen says solemnly. "You've got to admit, though, it'd be more interesting than filling a hundred requests per day for honeymoons to Hawaii."

"I think I'd steal all the customers' money and run off somewhere if I had to deal with that every day. Now, if someone asked for the outer rings of Neptune.. the planet, not the city.. and I could actually fill it? That'd be more interesting."

"Challenge always makes things more interesting. If there is no challenge in life, then it's time to get a new life."

Carmen smiled once more, and checked her watch. "I'm afraid I've been out here too long. It was a pleasure meeting you," she says, before turning and walking towards the park exit.

Somehow, she manages to resists the urge to call out "See you next crime."
