Paige walked in after work, she still looked tired and pretty worried too, after what Tara had said the radio she had no intention of letting her bind her powers, there were only 2 other she could think of to ask. Tonks was one of them.

She bite her lip and looked at her, "Tonks, I need to ask you something, could we go in the back or something? I don't want people knowing"

Jarod walked into the store and headed straight for the jellybean display. On the way there, though, his eye was caught by some little plastic dispensers and paper and foil-wrapped columns of what was presumably candy of some kind.

"Hmm. Pez."

"Hmm?" Tonks looked up, wiping her hands off on her apron. She ran her hands through her pink spikes, then tucked her wand behind her ear. She gestured the girl over to a quieter nook of the store. "What's the crisis today?" She asked, keeping her tone light and friendly.

Paige smiled a little, "no crisis exactly, just something I need doing and I'm not really sure how much I trust the person that was going to do it."

"What's the thing that needs to be done?" Tonks asked, her normal cheeriness slightly sobered.

"It's been suggested that I have my powers bound until i can control them better, can you do something like that?"

"Aren't they cute?" Tonks chirped, gazing over at a small dispenser, shaped like a blaster-weilding martain wearing a green helmet. She grinned at Jarod, "How's life treating you?"

"Life's treating me very well, thank you, Tonks," he smiled back. "And you?"

He studied the display. "They are very cute. Is there a special significance to the character on the top of the dispenser?"

"I don't know," Tonks admitted, biting her lip for a moment. "It's possible, but any kind of power-bindings are considered dark magic where I'm from. However..." She trailed off, looking like she wanted to say more.

Paige looked at her concerned, "the person that was going to do it said there was a spell to reverse it, it wouldn't be for good, but maybe magic's different in your world. If you'd rather not do that's okay, I understand"

She pauses "However, what?"

"I'm pretty good." She grinned, reaching to straighten the martian - and knocking one shaped like a large yellow bird over. She bent down to retrieve it. "I think they're mostly fictional characters from around here."

Tonks considered for a long moment, before answering. "I mean, I've always been working for the Light, but there's a lot of darkness in my family and the rules seem kind of different here. I could look it up, and maybe get a bit of counsel on the matter. Is waiting for awhile okay?"

She nodded and gave her a proper smile for the first time since she'd gone into the shop, "Yeah I can wait, I'm not really using my magic much anyway, I need to talk to my sisters."

She hugged Tonks gently, "thank you Tonks I really appreciate this."

"Hmm." He picked up one that looked like a Tasmanian Devil and bent its head back, considering. "You know, these would make wonderful animated characters for children's television shows."

Tonks was slightly taken surprised by the embrace, but hugged the girl back warmly. "Anytime," She murmured with a fond smile.

Paige was still smiling,she was so happy Tonks was willing to help her, "well since I'm here I think I'll buy some lollipops, you don't have any charmed ones do you?" she asked hopefully.

"They wouldn't, wouldn't they?" She murmured, grabbing a purple ...thing... with a triangle on the top of its head and craning it's head back.

Tonks quirked a brow. "Yeah... flavored with blood and acid." She winked.

Paige looked slightly worried a moment but in this town nothing much suprised her anymore, she laughed "you're joking right cos I was more thinking Cherry."

She grinned, "I was joking, but we did have both back home. There's some cherry-flavored ones that are spelled for energy and luck. And then some for honesty flavored like watermelon."

Paige smiles, "right well I guess I'll try both of the cherry ones then thanks," she looks thoughtful for a moment, maybe if she had a luck one before she went to sleep the nightmares would stop. "Oh and I'll take some normal ones too."

She gives Tonks a curious look, "do you think the honest ones will sell? Cos I know for a fact things I'd rather not know about Sawyer and things I'd rather people not know about me."

"I doubt it," Tonks grinned, as she arranged the long-stemmed lollipops in a small bouquet of cherry-flavored sugar. "But they're for honesty to yourself, really. You look kinda out of it, if you don't mind my saying. Tired?"

((OOC: can Maia come into the shop or will she be treated bad?))

Paige smiles, "no it's cool I know how I look, I've just not been sleeping very well, I've been having nightmares, only...they've been really realistic, like maybe they're gonna happen." she sighed, "I'm hoping the lolly's might help, Lancelot's getting sick of me waking him up I think,"
