Blood Gulch Arms - Friday

Tex opened up shop. Satisfied that her concussion was healing, she was back in her armour. Normally this would mean that she would be in a better mood, but this wasn't the case as she hadn't had a whiskey for a long time and going to Spike's seemed somewhat out of the question right now.

She sat down behind the counter, skimming through a datapad as she researched this time's knowledge of A.I.s. Apparently they didn't know a whole lot yet, it ruled out a lot of things.

The Grunt landed on the other side of the street. It seemed that Tex was back to opening the shop and now it was his time to continue Benedict's legacy.

Tex frowned and stopped reading. The shop was still empty and yet she felt like she was being watched. She slowly turned her head to look through the window and noticed... a duck. Not the bratty duck with teeth, but not a normal duck either. "Fuckberries."

The Grunt quacked and flapped its wings. If harrassing that student had been fun, pestering Tex would be the most rewarding experience in his life.

"That's it, you're dead! You're all dead! I'll pour poison in that stupid pond and I'll watch you all die!" Tex growled and pulled out the energy sword. The blade lit up and she charged out of the store at the duck.

The Grunt snickered, raspberried Tex and flew just out of reach. He kept quacking at her and taunting her.

Not waisting any more breath on the stupid animal, Tex waited until the duck swooped just low enough. She jumped up with a speed and agility that belied the heaviness of her armour and struck the duck with her energy sword.

The Grunt only barely managed to twist away as the energy blade came down. It singed its tail feathers and he quacked indignant at Tex before flying away with the scare of its life. Still, The Grunt wouldn't give up so easily.

Landing on her two feet, Tex was with satisfaction as the duck fled, it's tail smoking just a bit. She sneered and stomped on the feathers that had fallen on the pavement before heading back into her store. She hated ducks.
