Out on the Town, Monday Afternoon

Quark is out and about today. After having gazed upon the school from a safe distance, and having a chat with the town's resident pirate, Quark wanders down to the town hall to check up on matters of local government.

After all, even though he was surrounded by Hoo-mons and various others, they still had to have some sort of chamber of commerce. Even if not, getting friendly with the mayor was one of Quark's highest priorities. Rule of Acquisition Thirty-Three: It never hurts to suck up to the boss.

When Quark does find the town hall, the lack of a Mayor quite astounds him. A headless government usually meant bad things. Bad, bad things. He'd lived through the Cardassian occupation of Bajor, the Dominion occupation of Deep Space Nine, and being brothers with Rom. There was no way his quiet retirement away from all the trouble of the Bajoran government, Starfleet, and the Ferengi Commerce Authority was going to be ruined by showing up in a town ruled by anarchy.

So he did the only thing that seemed right. If you want a job done right, you do it yourself. So today, Quark starts the paperwork and the political machinations.

Eventually, sometime soon, there'd be an election.

And Quark's name would be first on the ballot.

"Ha. Hoo-mons and their democracy," Quark says, wondering if he'll be able to change the title of Mayor to Nagus when he gets elected. Because there was no doubt in his mind about that. Everyone has a price, and if neccessary, Quark was going to buy this election.

But for now, Quark wanders about town, to see how bad the lawlessness is, so far. Most folks haven't met him, most folks might be afraid of his appearance, but he was there, on the street. Ready to shake babies and kiss hands.

Wait, scratch that... reverse it.

[ooc: Open to any interaction whatsoever! EDIT And I'm back now! Woo! Come poke Quark while he's out an about?]
