Patrolling after sunset

Angel stood out by the gates of school, waiting for Callisto. Unlike his usual oblivious state, his senses were primed. If it moved, had a scent, had a heartbeat, you name it, he was searching for it.

Though his primary target was two creatures who only had 2 out of those criteria.

[ooc: Openish. He's waiting for Callisto, then they're going patrolling via rooftop. Up to you if your character would be able to interact given that criteria.]

"Evening," Callisto walked up to Angel. "So what exactly is the deal with this patrolling thing? Like scouting?"

"Pretty much," Angel said. "Look for trouble, punch it in the face if we find it. Sound like fun?"

"Definitely," Callisto grinned. "You sure know how to show a girl a good time."

"I try," Angel grinned back. He started walking in the direction of the town. "How do you feel about rooftops?"

"I'm good with heights." Callisto made sure her weapons which she hadn't been keeping on campus because that would be wrong were secure before following. "You should see my base back home sometime."

"I'd like that," Angel said. He scouted out a building with a fire escape. He leapt up - a distance higher than a human would've been able to reach - and jerked the ladder down so Callisto could use it. "Here you go."

"That's what I like about you," Callisto quickly clambered up the ladder. "You're such a gentleman."

Angel continued to climb up to the roof. "And what I like about you is that you brought weapons." He gave her a hand up onto the rooftop. "I like that in a woman."

"What can I say, I like to be prepared," Callisto looked out over Fandom from the rooftop. "Pretty."

Angel paused to take in the view. "It is at that."

He might've glanced at Callisto out of the corner of his eye when he said that.

"So, are we looking for anything in particular?" Callisto might have gone a little pink. "Or just trouble in general."

"Trouble in general, though I'm keeping my eyes out for Darla and Dru in particular," Angel said. He started to walk along the edge of the roof, scanning the streets below. "Not saying I wouldn't punch somebody else who gave me good reason to, though."

"I doubt you're going to lack for those," Callisto remarked as she paced along the opposite edge. "The mayor and the police take off and suddenly everyone decides to run wild in the streets. I someone even lit a bonfire in the park last night,"

Angel frowned as he looked in the direction of the park. "Is that why the benches vanished?"

"Yeah, I whoever it was used them for fuel," Callisto looked innocent. Really. "It was a nice blaze though. Well, until Becky."

"The one who attacked you."

"No, I attacked her," Callisto realised that didn't sound very good and hastened to add "After she attacked Bridge and Peter."

Angel gave a significant look at Callisto's neck, silently asking for the rest of the story.

"It was a dirty fight, she bit me." Callisto rubbed the back of her neck. "What? Vampires don't have a monopoly on that."

"Are you sure she wasn't a vampire?"

"Of course I'm sure," Callisto peeled the Bitterwoman bandaids off her neck. "Does this look like a vampire bite to you?"

Angel came over to look. The bitemarks were, in fact, not from sharpened teeth. "Well, that's one less person to stake tonight. Unless you were in the mood for revenge."

Callisto stuck the bandaids back on. "You wouldn't drag me off her like Peter did?"

"Maybe if the cops were coming."

"But there aren't any cops in Fandom at the moment."
