Caritas - Morning

Lorne opened the doors to Caritas early today. After all the shenanigans that has happened in the last couple of days, he thought it was important to have a place where the townspeople could feel safe from harm.

He then spent the rest of the morning trying to explain to the zombie band why they couldn't eat anyone at the opening of the new restaurant in town.

"First? Kind of rude. People are expecting food, drink and some light dinner music and the next thing they know a rotting corpse is having them for a light snack."

"Brrrrraaaaaaiiiiiiiins."

"See Rico? This is the exact kind of thing that makes people want to kill you. Again. Do you really want to perpetuate that stereotype?"

Kiki had just been finishing her delivery to Mr. N. P. See next door - for, after all, not rain nor snow nor a little bit of anarchy ever stopped a good delivery witch - when she heard the sudden sound of gunfire.

Instinctively, she threw herself to the ground, and, when silence reigned again, she quickly crept forward and scooted in the first open door she came to.

Standing up, she looked around uncertainly, tensely clutching the handle of her broom. So this was Caritas. She'd heard about it, but never had been there.

...And there were zombies in the band. Kiki wondered if it wouldn't be better to take her chances out on the street.

Judging by the fact that he appeared in the doorway almost the instant Caritas opened, it was possible to assume that Artie had been hanging out outside waiting for that to happen.

It's also possible, of course, that one of his super-hero powers is a sixth sense that tells him when and where Karaoke is available. It's Artie. Who knows?

Either way, there he was, posing by the bar. "Greetings, my esteemed and funky employer!"

"Um...Hello," she answered uncertainly. She shakes her head shortly, remembering her manners. "Hello, Mr. Lorne, I'm Kiki."

She steps further into the place. "And... could I please have a hot chocolate?"

"An enticing display, Green Man, an enticing display." Artie ponders his options with an over-dramatic pose of deep thought. "Perhaps a glass of frosty milk. It does a body good!"

"Whipped cream, please," she says sitting down and taking in her surroundings. "Well, I suppose one good thing about all the lawlessness is that it's actually finally gotten me in here. I've been meaning to for a while, now."

After a somewhat restless night (there were gunshots) Agatha decided that exploring the city in daylight would indeed be better.
This place looked safe, so in she went. The musicians looked like a construct experiment gone horribly wrong, but not everyone's Spark was equal, and she was far too polite to stare.
Agatha looked around though, taking in the fact that this was a bar or pub of some sort, with a stage and a band.

"Indeed. It was an exciting evening all around." Artie takes a deep drink of his milk. Even sipping through a straw is an overdone display for this guy. "Tell me, barman, how is it that you maintain order when lawlessness prevails?"

"Hello Mr. Lorne. I am Agatha Heterodyne Clay. If i could get a glass of water that would be lovely." She paused to look around one more time. "Is it always so... full of shooting at night? When i wrote the Mayor a while back he assured me that this town was safe and fairly quiet..."

The Perk hadn't been open yet so Isabel figured she'd try the bar. If he thought she was boring for ordering water the night before, she hoped he'd understand coffee this early in the morning.

"Thank you" She took the glass and drank some of the water, clearly amused at the garnish. "The Mayor left? Oh i hope it is still alright that i had set up my shop where he said i should..."

Isabel tried to smile, "Coffee please. It was a long night."

"Thank you," Kiki answers, smiling. She sips her hot chocolate. "Have you had any problems with all the troubles going on? Everything looks pretty intact here."
