The Perkolator - lunch time-y

Jake was still sulking about the loss of his hand and was eating chocolate cake - lots of chocolate cake - in attempt to make up for the lost mass. He was also drinking mocha. Jake rather liked chocolate.

Krycek was getting coffee and, not terribly surprised to see Jake, it was a bit bemused by the chocolate cake that Jake seemed to be inhaling in quantity.

Sliding into the chair across from him with a cup of drip coffee in his hand, he watched Jake eat a moment. "You know, you'd probably do better with protein."

"Your hand?" Krycek frowned, sipping at his coffee. "Of course you deserve coffee though," he assured Jake, still bemused. "But for what?" He had the distinct feeling he'd missed something important because his mun hasn't barely been playing the last couple weeks.

"Your hand." Krycek had to think about that for a moment. "...Is this like the time in Special Collections?"

Krycek sipped his coffee slowly. There were a lot of things he didn't know about Jake's powers, so it was certainly plausible that a tiny version of Jake was walking around Fandom High. "Okay... So you think it's running around campus, but you can't coordinate it so you can actually find it?"

He wasn't quite sure if it bothered him to think of a tiny Jake wandering around Fandom. If it hadn't been eaten yet though, it was doing better than he'd expect it to. "Classes are... not bad, actually. They actually feel like classes this term." He made a face. "Even if I think I might really regret this internship-- actually, never mind, I already regret it." His expression turned sour and he sipped his coffee grumpily. "Anyway, how long can your hand keep going? Are you just going to let it run around until it runs out of energy or something?"

"Well, so far I haven't been really asked to do anything either, really. But not throttling her every time she opens her mouth is a little more difficult than I'd anticipated," he said, swishing his coffee distractedly. "And, in regards to your mass, I agree, really. But there's not just gremlins around either, so I hope your... hand. Doesn't get eaten by anything else."

"She's expressed 'interest' in meeting you," Krycek said, complete with actual, gestured air quotes. "So if you want... Are you still doing newspaper this term, by the way?"

"But not necessarily co-editor this time?" Krycek sipped his coffee as well, before it got cold. "I'm not sure if I'm picking it up either, though I haven't mentioned it to Chloe."

"Maybe she'll just have to get away from the newspaper in order to hang out," Krycek mumbled into his coffee. "Which wouldn't be bad for her, actually."

"Just a little?" Krycek arched both eyebrows as he polished off his coffee. "Anyway, I should get back - I've got class this afternoon. You want to get together later, maybe?"

Krycek smirked as he got up, slinging his bag over one shoulder. "All right, but if you change your mind, give me a call. I'll probably just be doing my Sociology reading anyway." He leaned over to kiss Jake firmly before he moved away from his seat and then past him towards the door. "Later, Jake."
