Cafe Fina, afternoon, first day of business

Walter bustled around directing the wait staff and cooks and putting the finishing touches on the few time-sensitive matters Alfred had been unable to take care of himself before leaving.

He wasn't thrilled to be directing the opening himself, nor to be working on Friday night, but there he was anyway. After running formal dinners for Hellsing, this really wasn't a stretch at all.

You name it, they can make it, even if it takes some extra time. Off-world specialties may take a few days of extra time the first time.]

One of the two unusual ordering options is allowing Walter to choose something for you that he thinks you will like.

Sign up for that here and what your character might like. If you'd like for him to be a bit off, go for it, he's still a trainee.

The other unusual ordering option is to go with allowing Walter to provide what you want before you even ask.

Because he is a butler-fu trainee, he's going to have slip-ups. If you'd like to help Walter with his training and potentially embarrass him while you're at it, let me know what you'd like here.

If you want him to get it right, let me know what he should provide. If you want him to get it wrong, let me know what he should provide to be dead wrong. If you want him to do it and be hit or miss, let me know and I'll give it a guess.

Orlin mosey's in, he figures he's hungry since his tummy is rumbling. He looks for a place to sit.

Ah, a customer.

Walter appears at Orlin's table with a glass and pitcher of water.

"Good evening and welcome to Cafe Fina. How may I help you? The salmon is particularly good."

Edmund waits to be seated and contains a sneer to see the extremely slow poster-hanging boy and the nude park man speaking. Perhaps this establishment is not what he thought it would be.

He takes a seat and waits expectantly for someone to serve him.

Walter's smile falters not a jot as he sees Blackadder enter. He had gotten the posters up and hasn't been in to All and Sundries since he made his deal with its owner, having been rather occupied with life and all its vagaries - you know, killer snowmen, vampiric ex-boyfriends, school - the usual.

Smiling broadly, he stops in the kitchen before seeing the man and returns carrying a tray with what appears to be a meal and a bottle of wine.

"Roast lambs' kidneys with mustard mash and broad beans, Mr. Blackadder. I believe you will find them to your tastes." He opens the wine and allows Blackadder to approve the choice before pouring a glass.

"Will there be anything else, sir?" He felt like he'd probably gotten this one right. Of course, Mr. Blackadder didn't seem like the easy to please sort.

Pip pushed his way into the restaurant with Maia and took a seat. He couldn't wait to grill Walter over this.

Maia smiled at Pip and then looked around. "This really is very nice. Much better then the diner."

"No, not yet. I will be-"

"It's new," Pip said. "One of the new people in the town opened it. I think Walter works here."

"-expecting dessert. Yes sir, I will bring it when you are ready."

With that, he disappears to help the next table.

"Oh really?" Maia seemed happy about this, glancing around the place again she remarked "I could see him working in a place like this." She agreed.

Orlin wrinkled his nose, "Erm, I prefer to not eat any type of meat." He paused and then continued, "Unless it is chicken, I love chicken."

"Good evening." Walter's smile was warmer for people he already knew and liked.

Pip nodded. "I think his tutor owns the place. Have you met Alfred Pennyworth? Part of the whole student/teacher thing is that Walter works here."

"No I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting him." Maia said smiling at Pip. Glancing up she saw Walter.

"Good evening." Maia said her smile very bright.

"That shouldn't be a problem, sir. I could bring you a chicken caesar salad if you would like. Or simply name your preference and the chef will be happy to prepare what you want. May I get you a drink?"

Pip nodded. "Walter. What's good tonight?"

"Are you sure you want to be out with this rake?" Walter smirked at Pip. "Maybe I should bring you a drink to make his company easier to take?" He was smiling broadly, clearly messing with Pip.

"That sounds perfect, actually." Orlin grins at the terribly smart waiter, he didnt think he would have come up with that nearly so quickly, "Could I have some extra cheese on it?"
