The Sin was open for business and was surprisingly busy.

Jarod wasn't exactly sure what that meant in terms of true love and Valentine's Day, but he wasn't above quizzing the guests on their way out.

Becky wandered down to the lobby, and her eye caught an array (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/632616.html?style=mine#cutid2) of delivered gifts.

She went over and read the tag.

She might have smiled. Perhaps a little stupidly.

She most certainly did not say "Aw."

She turned to Jarod. "Hey, Jarod. How are you tonight?"

"Pretty good," he replied, handing over a heart-shaped box of chocolates. "Happy Valentine's Day, Becky. Who are the other gifts from?"

He figured he knew, but figured playing dumb on the subject might serve him well there.

"Who do you think?" Becky asked, raising an eyebrow.

Jarod shrugged, "Maybe that mountie guy?"

"That'd be nice," Becky said, going to a happy place mentally. "But no, they're from GOB. By the way, M seems to like the other gift he gave me."

"Ah, GOB," he nodded, then turned around to see M, who as usual these days, was studying the bird. "Sorry about that. If she's disturbing her, I can put her back up in my room."

"No, it's weird and cuteish," Becky said, tilting her head. "Is Jackie a girl? I can't tell. I just call it 'it'."

"I'm not sure, but I could try and find out if you want." He'd never been a vet before.

"I kind of like the mystery," Becky remarked.

"Okay. So, any plans for tonight?"

"Nope," Becky replied smoothly. "Maybe I'll take a bath."

Jarod didn't blush at all as he got a quick mental picture. Really. "That sounds nice."

"Relaxing, quiet. Perfect way to spend the evening," Becky nodded. "Are you doing anything with the brunette?"

Meanwhile, Outside the Sin...

GOB had paid a few NPC dock workers to carry the equipment to the street in front of the Sin. The audio equipment had to be set up (hopefully by Jarod), but the band was there, the Mountie was there, and the banner (http://pics.livejournal.com/peter__parker/pic/00006q4y/) that kid had made was set up behind where he was currently standing.

He wasn't dead yet, so Miho must have appreciated the pies. And he could only hope that the rose place had delivered his stuff.

Just about showtime. He just needed that kid to show up with his camera and Jarod to help set up the audio stuff...

Peter and M. Parker arrived outside the Sin. "Hey there. I have my camera. Give me a minute and I'll be in a good spot for pictures."

Andreas was humming, and tuning his guitar; Martin and Larry were doing a small guitar-off before their bit part; and Pablo was practicing his trills on the horn. Joe was fussing with the violin, nervous.

"Mr. GOB? We are ready when you are. Do you wish us to play a prelude?" Martin asked, hopeful.

"Thanks, Constable," GOB said. He hadn't actually bothered to learn the Mountie's name, unfortunately, so he was forced to be extremely polite.

Parker grinned. "I'm going in to say hi to Jarod and Miho. And to get a good seat. Good luck." She waved to GOB. "And to you too!" The oh, man, are you going to need it went unsaid.

"Sure thing, kid," GOB said. He then looked at the female Parker. "What are you doing here?" he asked curiously.

Jarod shook his head, quickly. "No, not that I know of. I bought her some chocolate roses, but I'll probably give those to her next time I see her."

"Visiting Jarod," she lilted, looking innocent. "And bringing Miho pie. It's Valentine's Day. I'm visiting friends. That's acceptable, isn't it?"

"Great to see you guys," GOB said. "Becky is in there and we don't want to alert her with music before we're all set up. It should only be a few more minutes."

"Hey, Jarod." Parker's grin as she walked in the door was evil, swinging a bag of cellophane-wrapped cookies, and holding a little stuffed dog in one hand, and a pie in the other. "Happy Valentine's Day. Or something. Can I steal your chair?"
