I don't know where The Grunt is right now. He was last seen wearing Aeryn's shirts. Maybe he went with her?

Before heading off to DC, Marty swings by Blood Gulch Arms to talk to Tex. Seeing she wasn't there he heads over to the Mayor's office and tries to see if he can get an appointment.

"Can I help you, sir?" A polite trooper asked.

Empire Records and Bidet now has three employees:
Nadia Santos
Martin Blank
Paige (whatever her last name is)

Any of these three can open the store when necessary

C'mon. It has to be Texas. It may be too obvious, but that doesn't mean it's not the best choice.

Can I vote for the Duckless State of Tex? I think that'd be a fabulous new name for Fandom. . . .

At some hour that's probably much too early, Artie comes bounding over to the Mayor's office, a large spotlight thing tucked under one arm.

True, I kinda left it out because that's where her name comes from, but I suppose. How about New Texas?

"I'd actually like to talk to the Mayor about the use of her business if possible," Marty replied politely. "I know she has mayor-type things to do today, but this should only take a few minutes of her time."

A trooper eyed Artie and the spotlight wearily. It was however open office hours, so he let the man through and helpfully opened the door for him.

The Texan Empire, perhaps?

The trooper nodded and motioned down the hall to the door two other troopers were guarding. "Down the hall, sir. She should be able to recieve you."

Artie gave the trooper a friendly wave with his free hand as he walked through the door. "Why, thank you, Man or Woman of plastic! I hope everything will be pipe for you today!"

Well if you go with New Texas, there could be several jokes about Tex's ass.

Not that Marty would make them. Nope. He values his life too much.

"Thank you, sir." The trooper replied cheerfully even if he didn't knowwhat that pipe stuff meant. He closed the door behind Artie.

Tex just looked up from her list and eyed the man warily. Not that that was noticable as she was wearing her armour.

Marty waved a thank you to the armor clad-type person and walked down the hallway and knocked on the door.

"Hello? Mayor Tex?"

Uh huh. You better not. Tex has been known to bribe the radio.
