Aereopagitica, Tuesday

The store is...

closed, actually.

But if someone were to go up the stairs and peek through the window into Giles's flat, they'll find him flat. On the floor. As he has been since early Friday evening. He was able to reach the phone to handwave cancel his date with Jenny, and to have the occasional peanut butter sandwich, but that's it.

[ooc: Sorry I haven't been around more. Life's back on schedule. Additionally, anybody who'd like to kick a certain Watcher's butt to the FTEC to get his back looked at would be more than welcome...]

Jenny frowned. "You said you weren't feeling good, Rupert, but this is ridiculous," she muttered. She looked around for a set of stairs, saw them, and walked up them to peer through the window.

"Rupert?" called Jenny, squinting and trying to see through the glass. "Are you there?"

Jenny twisted the doorknob and walked in, looking around for Rupert.

"You know, when you said you didn't feel well," she said, spotting him lying on the floor and hurrying to kneel next to him. "You could've gone to the clinic. What happened?"

Jenny covered her mouth and tried desperately not to smile. "Yes, where the doctors are, Rupert. You know, the people with the pretty white coats that make you feel better?"

"Why don't you try sitting first," suggested Jenny, moving to lend a hand if he wanted. "Very pretty white coats."

"I hate to break it to you, but the spine only goes in one direction at once," said Jenny. "Come on," she said, grateful that she'd chosen to put on one of her clunkier pairs of heels today. "Let's get you over to the clinic." She reached over to wrap her arm around him, under his shoulders, so she could brace him and help him stand.
