J, GOB [Saturday Afternoon]

Cedric opens the door into Jeff's and let's Jack go in first. He hasn't had any sweet, save for some jellybeans, since arriving at Fandom. Of course, he's not exactly sure what's good so he might just let Jack pick the pastry.

[Open for your J,GOB needs. Cedric's with Jack though.]

Jack had been told that the muffins were especially good, so he ordered those, and two coffees, and made his way to where Cedric was sitting.

"I bring you sweet things, as promised, and coffee," he said as he set them on the table. "Also, sugar and cream."

Grinning, he grabbed a seat, stretching his legs out under the table, not quite touching Cedric's, but very close.

"You'd be amazed how often I hear that." Jack chuckled. "I'd be happy to introduce you to as many new things as you'd like, Cedric, just say the word."

"Why, anything your heart desires, but you might have to narrow the field for me. What haven't you done?"

"You're off to a good start, at least. And cooking's easy. It's just a matter of bringing the right ingredients together and making sure you don't heat them too quickly. I'd be happy to teach you." Jack laughed. "But maybe it's easier to tell me what you've done, rather than what you haven't. Tell me about yourself, Cedric."

"I think it must be something in the way you wear your hair," Jack said seriously. "And I suspect you're selling yourself short. Fandom's a strange place, and you told me you were sent here without knowing why. Which," Jack leaned forward, touching Cedric's hand, "says to me there's a lot more to you and where you come from than sports, class, and mundane parents."

"I thought not." Jack trailed a finger across Cedric's palm, tracing the lines gently. "Share? I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours."

Jack froze, his hand flattening to cover Cedric's. "Seriously?"

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Dissolving into laughter, Jack couldn't speak for several seconds. Finally getting control of himself, he squeezed Cedric's hand. "I may very well hold you to that." The picture of innocence, he asked, "So...this magic wand of yours. Can it do any special tricks?"

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Eyes gleaming, Jack said, "I don't know anything about magic, but I'd be happy to help you with your wand in any way I can."

"That's quite a secret. I've never met a wizard before. I don't think. So you're a first for me." Abandoning innunedo for the moment, he said sympathetically, "A Triwizard Tournament sounds like a big deal to be transferred out of with no explanation. It must have come as a shock to be sent here."

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, absolutely. Firsts for me are getting pretty rare." He returned to tracing patterns on Cedric's palm. "Yeah, there's nothing quite like being told to do something with no explanation, is there? And 'because it's important' really doesn't count as a reason."

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
"I know exactly what you mean," Jack replied quietly. "Same sort of thing happened to me. Something that I wasn't given a choice in, but apparently it was 'important' and 'for a good reason'.It doesn't make it any less sucky, though." His voice was humming with supressed anger.

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Smile gradually reappearing, Jack nodded in return. "Actually, I think that would help. Although I hope being angry isn't the only thing we can do together."

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, this is a good place to start." Jack leaned across the table. "And it can lead to other things." He touched Cedric's shoulder; slid his hand up his neck to gently hold his jaw while his thumb brushed across his cheek. "interesting things."

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
"I hope so." Closer still, and he was looking into Cedric's eyes, head tilted in question. "Am I persuading you?"

Eyes dancing, Jack leaned forward, brushing his lips across Cedric's, deepening the kiss when he didn't pull away. His other hand found it's way into Cedric's hair, pulling him closer while his tongue glided across his bottom lip.

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Jack's hand fell from Cedric's face to his shirt, grasping it tightly, using it to pull him closer, and put every thing he had into it, lips and tongue and teeth, then gentled the kiss, slowly pulling away.

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Jack chortled, deliberately mussing Cedric's hair as he sat back. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. And you're the first wizard I've ever kissed, so it was an even trade. A first for a first."

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
"As I said before, Cedric, you're a man after my own heart. Shall we do it again some time?"

[identity profile] anextimeagent.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
"My pleasure, Cedric, absolutely my pleasure." Grinning, he added, "Now eat your muffin."
