The Perk, 6/3, Saturday Evening (After 5:30)
Tempe, dressed in a long flowing skirt and a black top, made her way into The Perk for her date with Paige.
After ordering a cinnamon latte, she made her way to a table and sat down with her notebook. She was planning to work on her novel while she waited for Paige, but spent most of the time looking daydreamy instead.
[OOC: Tempe and Paige's thread will be locked to them only, but feel free to use the post for any of your other Perk-y needs.]

Looked around she grinned when she saw Tempe and ran over, "sorry I'm so late, there was dodgeball and I had to shower and change and detention finished late, have you been waiting long?" she asked biting her lip nervously.
no subject
"Don't worry, I haven't been here that long," Tempe replied. "Besides, you're worth waiting for."
"Dodgeball? In detention? That's something I haven't heard before."
no subject
"Thank you," she said sitting down opposite her, "cos I'd have been gutted if you'd left."
"Yeah detention here isn't like other places, last time I had it we had to watch 80s movies and cover stuff in glitter, it was pretty fun actually." she explained.

"I wonder if there's some psychological reasoning behind their choices for detentions here. To me, 80s movies and glitter sound like fun, but I'm sure that somebody at this school has nightmares at the very thought."

"I guess today's was supposed to be psychological torture for those who have nightmares about being pelted by dodgeballs," she replied, also perusing the menu, having already finished her cinnamon latte.
"I can't wait to see what next week's will be. Not that I'm going to try and get detention or anything." Unless of course you do, in which case I'll assault someone with glitter to get detention as well.
Tempe shook her head. Where had that thought come from?

"Yeah detention's okay but I can think of better ways to spend a Saturday," like maybe hanging out with incredibly cool and open minded people "and I don't generally get it, well not her at least!" she said with a slightly wicked smile.

"So can I," Tempe said. "Just like this."
She smiled warmly, a faint blush creeping over her cheeks. She wasn't used to being so open with her affection.

She tapped her foot nervously under the table.

She put the muffin down in front of Tempe, "so been up to anything interesting while I've been locked away?" she asked tilting her head slightly to look at her.

"What are you reading, or was it something anthropological that I won't understand?" she asked in a slightly amused tone.
"and sleep's good, a little hard in the cabins though."
no subject
"Yes, especially if you fall asleep in the middle of the common room couch, sitting up."

"...before I remember that I don't want to see any of those people again." Her tone may have been bitter, but it was only because of the memories.
"Of course, I wouldn't mind travelling to other time periods too. Maybe the 30th century, to see what kind of advances they've come up with in forensic anthropology."
She grinned.

"and given the people in this place there you might someone from then and be able to find out how stuff's changed." she said encouragingly.
((and I must flee to bed, sorry, night))
no subject
"I've already heard a few things from people about some of the differences between then and now. Sometimes it's just nice to talk to someone who remembers that time, however little they remember."
[OOC: No problem!]
