Dawn applied more sunscreen to her shoulders and stretched out on her towel with her book. Beach book, check. Bottled water, check. Waves, check.

Yep, life was good.

Clark had some paperwork to do, but he decided to hit the beach a bit first. It was simply too nice a beach day to let it pass.
With lawn chair, panama hat, sunglasses and shorts and t-shirt, he looked for a good spot.

After getting a handwavey message from Dawn, Molly followed down to the beach shortly after. "Hey, Dawn," she said as she walked up with her own beach supplies.

Dawn waved and arched up on her elbows. "Hey, Molly. I'm glad you could make it."

"Nothing going on today and this was a great idea." Molly spread out her towel, sat down and began to apply her sunscreen. "This is perfect weather for swimming."

Buffy'd brought a blanket, which she flopped down on, and the newest issue of InStyle. "Hi Dawn! Did you like the cheering yesterday?"

"Or lying on the beach and doing nothing," she grinned. "You did a great job at the game yesterday. Very perky."

"You were great," Dawn grinned. "I cheered extra hard." Not that she had any idea who won, but whatever.

"Thanks!" Buffy beamed. It was possible she only had a vague idea who won as well. "It all went pretty well, I think. No monster invasions or anything!"

"Always a sign of a successful cheerleading event," Dawn nodded, digging her toes into the sand. The sad part was that she wasn't even kidding.

Molly smiled. "Thank you. I had a lot of fun. Lots of reasons to cheer. Did you enjoy the game?"

"Honestly? I don't even know who won."

"Hi, Buffy!" Molly called. "Great game yesterday."

"The gold team won," Molly said proudly. "Once we split up, I was on the squad that cheered for them."

"So you cheered them on to victory? Go you!" Dawn grinned.

Buffy raised her arms lazily. "Go team! So does cheerleading get a thumbs up yet?"

Much too nice a day to just stay inside. This was a flying day, really, but Sakurazaki wasn't about to do that, but a visit to the beach was a pretty good alternate. After making she she had a lot of sunscreen, she sets off, finding a nice spot near the shore so that the incoming waves could wash over her feet as she buried them in the moist sand. She arched over one of her Japanese Edo romances. She'd read this one before, but, for some reason, it felt different reading it now.

Buffy nodded too, agreeing. "You know? Until today I was pretty sure they were joking about it being warm here."

"Now there is a pretty view," Dean said as he walked onto the beach and spotted Dawn and the other girls.

Shielding her eyes from the sun a bit as she looks up, Sakurazaki returns the wave with a smile.

"Hello!" Sakurazaki returns the wave. "Great day, huh?"

"I know. This having seasons thing takes some getting used to," she said, tying her hair into a ponytail.
