Chrono opened the church that morning. Well, not really opened it in a technical sense of the word, considering it was always open to anyone, but, since Rosette had not come back after she left for her usual drink or five, Chrono made sure he was ready an available to give her stern glares when she eventually did drag herself back.

This stopped, however, when she actually did come in late that morning, almost noon, looking mostly tired and disraught. She plopped down beside him in the pew, handed him one of the two mochas in her hand. "Hey."

"Hey." Chrono took a sip. "You okay?"

"Yeah."

"Where were you?"

"Initiating a new public outreach program."

"Oh." Chrono wasn't sure what that meant, but it sounded productive, so he wouldn't ask any questions. He just sipped his mocha, kicked his legs a little, and offered a shoulder for her to lean on while they waited for some one to maybe come in and need something.
