Sunday, Around Noon, The Park

After waking up in the room she had woken up in yesterday, Phoebe had decided that there was no way she was staying in there for very long today. She needed to have some fun, damn it.

So, she had made coffee and left the rooms to wander. She soon found herself in the park and she decided that she liked it here. It was wide and open and there were plenty of opportunities for people-watching -- among other people things that she was just so damn good at.

She settled onto a bench for now with her coffee and her smokes and just waited.

Lana woke up feeling even more achy and needy than yesterday. She couldn't stay in her room. Maybe if she got out again into town she'd find someone.

JJ, the man with a normal sized head but a dwarfish (i.e. two feet tall) body was walking through the park, taking in the sights.

Phoebe turned her head when she heard the approach of someoene in the park. Seeing another woman, she lifted a hand to wave at her.

Phoebe gave a slow smile to the little man walking through the park.

It wasn't a guy, but at least it was a friend, Lana thought. She made her way over gratefully. "Phoebe!"

JJ waved with his robotic arm. "Good day to you," he said with a little laugh.

After the not yet played out meeting with Nadia, Bond decided to get a little air and do some thinking. He'd noticed a pleasant-looking sort of park, and figured that was as good a place as any.

Walking along the path, he saw the young woman on the bench, and gave her a nod of the head and a charming smile.

"Not sitting here all alone, are you?" he asked. "That seems a crime."

Phoebe smiled. "Hello, Lana!"

"And good day to you, sir," she said with a smile.

Phoebe returned his smile with a slightly seductive one of her own.

"Now see, if you sit with me, then I'm not alone, am I? Thus, no crime committed."

Lana came and sat by her. "This has been one of the most frustrating weekends," Lana said. "The guys in this town don't know a good thing when they see it."

"What has a nice girl like you all alone in a park?" JJ asked.

Phoebe nodded. "I hear you there and oh god... I woke up in bed yesterday with Cole..."

She lit up a cigarette and then offered the pack to her friend.

"Waiting for a hero," Phoebe quipped.

"Well, I wouldn't want to be accused of not doing my civic duty," Bond replied, taking a seat on the bench. "Name's Bond. James Bond. Who might I have the pleasure of conversing with?"

"Well, of course you'd wake up with Cole," Lana said, waving off the offer of a cigarette. "You two love each other."

She looked embarrassed. "I tried to come on to him last night," she admitted. "I never even thought about you. I'm sorry."

"Well I'm sure the right one will come along eventually," he said with a jovial smile. "There's got to be a nice young man in your future."

Phoebe smiled at him and ran a ahnd through her hair. My, he is gorgeous.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. James Bond. I'm Phoebe. Phoebe Halliwell at your service."

"A pleasure to meet you, Phoebe Halliwell. May I call you Phoebe, or are we going to insist on being strangers?"

Bond braced one arm over the back of the bench so he could turn to face Phoebe. "You weren't stood up by someone you were waiting for, were you?"

Phoebe blinked and shook her head. "Why does everyone keep telling me that?" She asked sadly. "You know everything that's haappened between us, right?" She sked oftly. "But yesterday... Lana, he seemed so different. More like his old caring and loving self. It almost made me forget..."

"Noot too nice I hope."

Lana looked a little confused. "He does love you, Phoebe, I'm sure of it. But... you're not upset that I came on to him?"

"Something wrong with nice?" JJ asked.

Waldo was off in the distance, hugging a tree. These were friendly trees, so they deserved friendly gestures.

She turned to get comfortable and looked at him. "You can of course call me Phoebe as it would be a shame if we were to have to be strangers. Do I call you James, or Bond?" Her eyes were full of interest and she was smiling.
