There might have been a few tears gathering in Rosette's eyes as she read up on today's saint. Such a....awesome nun. The kind she would have liked to have know, but the church got to her and brainwashed her and it was the biggest tragedy she'd ever imagined. Rosette resolved right then and there that she was going to live her life for Saint Hyacintha Mariscotti. Even if that meant that she'd continue doing things the way she always had.

Especially because it meant doing things the way she always had. She would just have to find out where she might be able to acquire a nice satin habit...

Yuki enters the church quiet but deliberately. "I never suspected you of being a flatware theif."

She woke from a nightmare in the middle of the night -- dark, bloody, and confusing; the images of her friends, her people, haunted her, each lying dead, eyes open and mouths gaping. Unable to get back to sleep, she sat up until after dawn, sipping tea and reading. She showered around 9, dressing in her favorite new jeans and a sweater. Before stepping out into the cold, she scrawled her prayer onto a small slip of paper.

As she knelt before the altar and the prayer candles, she held that same slip of paper out to be lit. It caught and she allowed it to drop into one of the incense trays. Her mouth moved in barely formed words, offering up quiet prayers to the Lords of Kobol, praying for the safety and protection of her people.

There was a little surprised jump from the nun, who hadn't noticed Yuki's quiet entrance, but she chuckled a little. "Clever guise, isn't it? No one suspects the nun."

Rosette grinned at him. "Actually, it turned into a pie. I was waiting to see if turned back into a plate any time soon, but I think you're out of luck."

Rosette could tell when someone actually had serious business at the church and knew what they were doing, but, during the woman's visit, Rosette politely set aside her book and let it be known on unspoken terms that she was there should she need her. She seemed to have a grip on things, though.

After a few moments, Laura rose slowly and turned. She smiled to see the sister nearby. "Good morning," she said quietly.

Rosette nodded, returning the quiet smile. "Good morning." She felt like she should say more, but didn't know what. She never really knew what to do around those who actually seemed to know what they were doing.

"You owe me missy." He looks like he's got a hint of grin when he says that.

"It's still in the icebox if you want the pie," she responded, with the kind of smile that showed that she was oblivious to any other intention of repayment that Yuki might have in mind.

Having been reading a bit about the Catholic Church of late, she recognized Rosette as a nun...sort of. She extended her hand, offering an introduction. "I've seen you around the few times I've been in here, but I never seem to introduce myself. I'm Laura Roslin."

Yuki hates to admitt his sweet tooth is stronger than desire to corrupt nuns. "What kind of pie?"

Rosette's smile broadened. "It's strawberry."

Rosette took the offered hand with a light shake. "I think I've noticed you those few times as well. It's nice to meet you, Laura. I'm Sister Rosette Christopher."

Oh dear. His most weakest of weaknesses. "Maybe the pie will be suffiecient then..."

Rosette's smile reached grin status and she smacked her big book of saints closed with an impressive thunk before setting it down in the pew beside her. It was only beside her for a second, though, because she was soon bouncing up to her feet. "I'll go get it, then."

He takes her wrist loosely but resolutely. He can't forget about the option to have his pie and eat it too. "Mind if I join you?"

Rosette was a little surprised for the hand at her wrist, but only because she felt it was entirely not needed. Smiling a little, she shrugged. "Sure; I mean, it's just down in the kitchen, nothing special."

Yuki freed her hand as quickly as he took it. He just had wanted to get her attention. "I'lll follow you then."

Rosette nodded, and lead Yuki across the church to the door to the stairs that lead them down into the basement, past the door to the left where her and Chrono's room was, and into the little kitchenette. Which was actually pretty neat and clean; that wouldn't be the case at all if it weren't for Chrono, who constantly was keeping up on Rosette's attempts to trash the place. Just to piss him off, she knocked over the little canister of flour on the counter, chuckling a little to herself as she breezed passed to the refridgerator. She opened it up and leaned on the door a little as she peered inside, "Now where did I put that....ah, here it is!"

Yuki is standing fairly close behind her, not so close that he's in her way, just close enough that he's sorta crossing into her space. "So my plate became a strawberry pie.... how?"

Rosette gave him a wry smirk over her shoulder as she extracted the pie from the fridge (on a new plate) and brushed by Yuki on her way to the counter. "You were here on that day when everything was turning into pies, right? I'm down a viel because of that day."

...But that was a damn good pie...Mmmm. She frowned a moment at the strawberry pie in front of her. Why wouldn't this one have been chocolate creme, too?

Maybe the pie knows it's owner's preferences? "I didn't have anything turn to pie."

Rosette nodded toward the pie, grinning at him. "Yes you did."

"Well nothing I had with me." He give her a bit of a look. He's not about to take teasing. Not even from pretty ladies.

Rosette just figured Yuki was being bitter because his plate turned into a pie, but that didn't even make a lot of sense, because pie was better than a plate, anyway. You couldn't eat a plate. Well, you could, but it won't be as tasty. "You want to take this with you?" she asked. "Or should we eat it now?"
