The Park - Monday after period 4
Bundled up, Annette took a brisk walk around the park before she chose to sit on a bench near the lake. Almost immediately did the ducks waddle over to her thinking she had food. Annette didn't have food, but she did have a bag of red hot candies. Grinning a little to herself she said, "I don't think you're going to like these...their hot. And they'll stain your beaks red." But she opened the bag anyway and tossed a few to them, surprised when they actually ate them. "I'm warning you - better stop eating them." But she tossed even more. "I'm telling you - your tongue is going to start burning and it might even flop out of your mouth and just hang there like a hot thing on fire." She tossed a few more and then popped a few in her mouth. "Good though, eh?"
She also might be tempted to ping some off the back of someone's head did they happen to walk by. You know, just for the sake of self-amusement.

But that didn't keep her from reaching into her candy bag, taking hold of one, and popping it towards the back of his head.
Snickering, she looked completely innocent and stared back at the ducks.

"I saw your handiwork on Friday. Brilliant call with the noodles."
Sometimes, Henry and Edward were empathetic of each other. But with the situation as it stood, Edward's pain was his joy.

"Were you feeding these to the ducks?"

When he noticed the ducks, she looked over at them and raised her brows. "Uh. They wanted some candy today."

Henry watched the ducks. "After I learned that the squirrels take notes for the radio, I've had the strangest paranoia about any of the island's creatures." He smiled self-depreciatingly. "I know it sounds odd, but if the squirrels run the radio, I can't help but wonder what the other animals do."

"Did you know there was an anteater in one of the common rooms the other day?" She nodded. "Sat on my lap and everything."

"I don't know, really. It was there and then it was just gone, so maybe, yeah. Must be a pet to someone. Sure was a cute little thing."
