The Park - Monday after period 4

Bundled up, Annette took a brisk walk around the park before she chose to sit on a bench near the lake. Almost immediately did the ducks waddle over to her thinking she had food. Annette didn't have food, but she did have a bag of red hot candies. Grinning a little to herself she said, "I don't think you're going to like these...their hot. And they'll stain your beaks red." But she opened the bag anyway and tossed a few to them, surprised when they actually ate them. "I'm warning you - better stop eating them." But she tossed even more. "I'm telling you - your tongue is going to start burning and it might even flop out of your mouth and just hang there like a hot thing on fire." She tossed a few more and then popped a few in her mouth. "Good though, eh?"

She also might be tempted to ping some off the back of someone's head did they happen to walk by. You know, just for the sake of self-amusement.

Henry was on his way to find a tailor who could make a new tailcoat for him. He'd been thinking about just getting his other one fixed, but he knew that Edward would just rip it up again.
Stupid superhero outfit...

Henry felt the candy hit his head, and looked around, confused. When he spotted Annette, he grinned and headed over to say hello.
"I saw your handiwork on Friday. Brilliant call with the noodles."
Sometimes, Henry and Edward were empathetic of each other. But with the situation as it stood, Edward's pain was his joy.

"Oh well, I suppose it must've been someone else." Though he said that, Henry could not get rid of the confidential grin.

"Thanks very much." Henry took one, and popped it in his mouth. He noticed a couple candies laying on the ground, as well as a few ducks. They seemed forlorn.
"Were you feeding these to the ducks?"

"Well, I suppose it isn't too different from feeding them bread." Maybe.
Henry watched the ducks. "After I learned that the squirrels take notes for the radio, I've had the strangest paranoia about any of the island's creatures." He smiled self-depreciatingly. "I know it sounds odd, but if the squirrels run the radio, I can't help but wonder what the other animals do."

"Really?" He turned his gaze away from the ducks. "Did it belong to someone in the dormatory?"
