John wanders in again, looking for something upbeat to read that's not depressing, full of death, or about demons. A noir murder mystery sounds nice.

Alphonse looked up from his spot at the counter, then smiled brightly. "Hello again."

"Hey! Fancy meeting you here again. How's things?"

"I work today, as well," Alphonse said. "Things are good, not too much going on. Did you want to look for something else today?"

"I was looking for something a bit more happy," he said. "Maybe something in a noir mystery, or some cheesy sword and sorcery novel."

"We've got a bunch of mystery novels over there," Alphonse pointed in their direction. "The fantasy novels aren't too far from it, about two shelves away I believe."

"Thanks! You hear anything from Setsuna?" he called as he went to investigate.

Alphonse only found it polite to get up an accompany him during a conversation instead of talking loudly across the store. "Um," he faltered, unsure how to answer that, but decided to go with the more honest route. "After you left," Alphonse answered. "I did see her."

"How's she doin'? She okay?" John pokes through some of the mystery books, looking at Al over his shoulder.

Alphonse nodded. "She seemed fine." Other than embarrassed at entirely new levels, but he decided not to say that aloud.

"Oh, good," John said, his shoulders untensing. "Couldn't find her anywhere." He smiled.

"I'd imagine she's feeling better, now," Alphonse said assuringly. "I haven't seen her today though, so I wouldn't be able to tell you where she is."

"But you're sure she's okay? Cuz she was very much with the flipping out. Stupid gremlins..."

"Ah, I... don't really know what happened, so I'm not sure how she feels about that," Alphonse replied. "But, I mean, she seemed okay, otherwise?"

"Well, yeah, 'cept for her shoulder, she's physically hawt fine like butta. It's the mentally things I was worried with, and... something else, now."

"I told her she needs to rest so her shoulder can heal," Alphonse said, firmly, almost as if he expected John to expect the same thing out of her. Then, a concerned frown. "Something... else?" he asked, hesitantly, afraid something may have happened.

John picked up a book and sighed. "Yes. Something else that she shoulda told me, though I can understand why she didn't."

Alphonse knew he wouldn't be able to tell exactly what the 'something' was, but, considering the types of books John took out yesterday... He took in a breath and opted to not say anything; it, in the end, was nothing Alphonse felt like he should interfere with, one of the reasons being is he could very well be jumping to conclusions with the entire thing.

As much as he wanted to help make this entire situation better, Alphonse had no idea where to start. "... If you know, maybe you should try talking to her about it," he suggested. "It would be better than hiding that you do."

"That's why I'm trying to find her. To ask her about the one thing and to tell her that the gremlin thing is fine. But it's not like I have a Werechicken homing device...." he stops, thinking. "I need to go to Sparky's."

"If it helps, Setsuna works at the Devil's Nest, tonight," Alphonse offered, then nodded. "If you're ready, I can ring up your book so you can go."

"I'll have to stop in." He looks down at the book. "Yeah, I'm ready. Tryin' ta kick me out?" he joked.

Alphonse chuckled lightly, turning to head back to the front. "By your last statement, I figured you wanted to head back out."

"Yeah, I should get going," he agreed. "But thanks for listening."

Alphonse made a small smile, then got to the counter. "That'll be handwavey amount."

John forks over the cash. He gives Al a nod before heading out the door.

Alphonse set the money away, giving John a small wave before he left.

Arashi was needing something to read. He walked into the store and smiled brightly seeing Al there. "Hello, Al. How have you been?"
