Aiden made sure to have a lazy morning in preparation for today. Spa days were no good without having the proper groundwork laid down beforehand.

She made her was down to Theodoric of York for about midday, and settled in an arm chair in the lobby to read Cosmo and drink water with cucumbers in while she waited for Millie and Mary to show.

Manicures, pedicures, massages, mud wraps, saunas, etc. Create your own OCD threads for this one depending on what you want.

I am vanishing AFK for a few hours, so slowplay is love, as usual. I should be back around from about 10pm GMT (5/6pm EST, I believe). :)

Seemed sensible to start from the tips of her toes and work up. So Aiden opted first for getting her feet pampered. It really had been way too long since she'd got to do anything like that.

Mary grinned when she spotted Aiden. "Hey you," she said in greeting.

What Mary needed most of all with a Swedish massage. 60 minutes just didn't seem long enough.

You can't wear cute shoes without a pedicure, so Mary made this second on her list of priorities.

The painting that Mary has been doing lately has not included her nails, and those hands were really in need of some TLC.

Millie made her way into the spa, gawking a bit at everything there. She smiled when she saw Aiden. "Hello! it was so nice of you to invite me along!"

Aiden glanced up and flipped her magazine closed with a smile. "Hey you, too," she returned. "All ready to be relaxed in good preparation for the weekend?"

"Glad you could make it," Aiden said, smiling back at her. "Can't believe you've never done this whole spa experience before."

"I can't believe how long it's been since I've had something like this," Aiden remarked, wriggling her toes a little in the tub of warm water in front of her. "There's somthin' wrong with that."

"I don't believe we have anything like it back home," Millie replied, still looking around with delight. "I have no idea what I want to do first. There seem to be so many options!

"I guess I'm just kinda used to the ones up in the city," Aiden said, grinning happily at her obvious excitement about this. "Where everythin's just... bigger. For a little place, this one does pretty damn well, though."

"I'm just thinkin' of working my way through some of the staples, really. Mani, pedi, massage... Maybe a hair wrap or somethin'."

"Oh yes, the polishing of fingers and toes," Millie said. "I do want to experience that! And a massage - perhaps one of those with the stones?"

"Sounds like you've been doin' your research," Aiden said.

"The internet is an amazing thing," Millie said seriously. "You can find almost anything there."

Aiden laughed. "Tell me 'bout it. Tends to come in pretty damn useful in my line of work. Google knows things that even the PI databases don't sometimes."

"Ofcourse," Millie said, blushing a little. "You can also stumble across things you rather wish you hadn't. But I suppose that's always the danger in the search for knowledge."

"Can be one of those more perilous quests," Aiden agreed, a big grin appearing at Millie's blush. Being a PI and paid to photograph people in compromising situations on occasion, has hardened her to most embarassment.

"Least you found out all about the stuff you wanted t' know about too, though," she continued.

"Oh yes!" Millie said cheerfully. "And about many other things that I wish to explore further."

"Gotta love it, really," she said. "After what you told me 'bout where you're font, I'm guessin' they have that anythin' like that?"

"Oh goodness, no. Nothing like that at all," Millie agreed. "Though there are a great many ways to discover things by magic

"See that's where ya lose me," Aiden said with a chuckle. "Never have figured out how all that magical stuff could possibly work, even bein' in this place a while."

"Oh, there have been reams of research done on all that back home," Millie responded. "But I could always demonstrate if you wanted."

There was definitely a small impish smile on her face.
