After her Self-Confidence class ended, Naminé headed downtown to open Fina. She was a bit unnerved to discover that Lumiere was still singing the same song from Monday.

She was able to lead those dishes which were still coherent in a rousing chorus or two from Les Miserables which nearly drowned it out.

It was a start.

Today's Specials Board read:

Sing loud and hearty with us
And get yourself a free dessert
So long as your song isn't about snacks!

Café Fina was open.

She is considering the purchase of ear-plugs.

I can't think of anything witty to say here.

After reading the Specials Board, Sokka thrust the doors open forcefully and broke into loud, deep, joyous, harsh and atonal song:

Naminé looked at him for a long moment and then burst out laughing.

"Delightful. Much more pleasant than the intermission song. Won't you come in? Dessert is yours, with my thanks."

Sokka gave her two thumbs up and grinned. "There's more where that came from! I took the music class thing last semester."

He jerked a thumb toward Lumiere and raised an eyebrow. "So what's the deal, anyway?"

He might have been starting to tap his feet in time with the catchy but annoying music.

Naminé rolled her eyes. "It appears that the oddities of Fandom are not constricted to the students. They've been singing that for a week. I feel as though I should be collecting hazard pay of some sort."

"A week?!?!"

Sokka turned to the singing dishware and shouted as loudly as he could, "HEY!!! SHUT UP!!!"

...Then he shrugged. "Maybe there's someone here who can magically make them quiet?"

"I would settle for someone who could magically make me deaf," Naminé said lightly as she escorted him to a table. "If you wouldn't mind singing throughout your meal, it would make me terribly appreciative. Anything's better than this song again."

"I'll do my best," Sokka said, "but it's kinda hard to sing and eat at the same time. You should get a TV or radio or something. Or earplugs."

"I haven't the money for a TV or a radio, I'm afraid. But earplugs are going to the top of my list." She looked at him for a moment. "You wouldn't happen to have any, would you?"

"Yeeeah. Because I carry around a spare pair in my pocket. Sure."

He shrugged. "Soon as I'm done eating, I'll try to find you some, though."

"You might. Some people do. Perhaps you had to deal with a loud roommate who snores." Naminé handed him a menu. "Would you, really? I would greatly appreciate it. I might see about getting you a discount on your meal, for that matter."
