Johnny was at work this morning and he was amusing himself by making a tower of film on the counter. It was getting pretty tall too. He could barely see over it. He might have been humming London Bridges while he was at it.

Johnny looked around his tower when he heard the door open.

"Hey, Savannah."

"Hey. I brought you coffee."

"Thanks, sweetheart," Johnny said, accepting it gratefully. "What you up to today?"

"Nothing much. Just thought I'd come say hi, but if you're busy, I can become scarce." Then she grinned. "Oh! And wondering how much trouble I'm going to get in with the new principal by deciding to thwart all of her proclamations. I almost wish I had a male roommate after what she's trying now."

"I'm not busy at all," he grinned like a dork, ignoring his tower of film right now."

He made a face. "Yeah, I heard her announcement this morning. Want me to move it with you?"

That sounded to her like an invitation to carefully sit on the counter.

"That is so tempting, you know." She shook her head. "Does that lady have any idea who she's messing with."

Johnny watched Savannah sit on the counter and he watched his film shift slightly.

"No. Obviously she's a twit with a stick shoved up her ass. You want me to come stay like for the next three days or so? Camp out?"

"Would you really?"

"You bet," he said without hesitation.

"I could kiss you right now for that, you know?"

"And you know I wouldn't object," he said, smiling at her.

Savannah reached out to pull him closer to her.

Johnny went easily, leaning over the counter towards her, his eyes on hers.

She cradled his face between her hands and kissed him gently.

Johnny kissed her softly, mimicking her gentleness. Savannah was sweet and he was growing to care very much for her.

Savannah deepened the kiss just a little before pulling back to run a hand through his hair.

What he wouldn't give to not be at work right now. "You make me think things, Savannah," he whispered low.

She gave him another gentle kiss. "What things?"

"Things that I probably shouldn't mention out loud," he said against her lips.

"Ah, those kinds of things," she said softly.

"So now you now," he murmured and kissed her.

Savannah nodded, kissing him back. She placed one hand along the back of his neck as they kissed.

Johnny reached up and did the same, though he threaded his fingers up through her hair, holding her head, pulling her closer.

She liked this being pulled closer to him and momentarily forgot that she was kissing him at his place of employment.

He didn't forget but it wasn't like he cared either. After a few more moments though, he did pull back and rested his forehead against hers, his hand holding to the nape of her neck. "What a great way to start my day."

She kept an arm around him. "Happy to help start your day in a nice way," she murmured.

"And I appreciate it very much, sweetheart." He kissed the tip of her nose and leaned back to look at her. "What are you doing tonight?"

She smiled at him and shook her head. "I haven't made plans except for maybe walking on the beach or something with my sketchbook. You know, stuff I can do anytime."

"If you want any company, call me. And I'm serious about the staying over."

She smiled. "You are always welcome to, Johnny." She tilted her head. "Just come over. I'll be there." She grinned. "Besides, you can be there preventing me from getting myself expelled by setting the principal's hair on fire."

"We'll be breaking one of her rules anyway, won't we, by staying together?" Johnny grinned mischievously. "I'm all for breaking rules."
