Johnny came in late; he had overslept, and his dreams were too great to even try and think about waking up.

But - duty calls, and he was here now and actually dusting off the counters and cleaning the glass displays. He couldn't very well set his current Supercross magazine on a dirty surface. As if.

Duh.

Photo Hut is open.

Savannah stopped in with the usual coffee.

"I was wondering where you were," he said with a smile.

Savannah smiled. "I stayed at Caritas pretty late and then fell asleep on the beach."

He quirked a brow. "The beach? By yourself?" Johnny took a sip of his coffee, watching her.

Savannah noddeed. "Yeah. I was walking on the beach and watching the waves after Caritas closed."

"You shouldn't have been out by yourself so late, Savannah," Johnny gently chided.

Savannah gave him a shy smile. "I know. I lost track of the time and then, I fell asleep."

"Yeah, well, don't do it again," he half teased. "I heard on the radio that you talked to Chris? Everything all right?"

"Hey you look kinda familiar Man."

"Woah, cleaning! Far out man! What's that word, when someone thinks of doing stuff?"

"Initiative?" Johnny asked, not sure entirely if he and Leo were on the same wavelength.

"That's it Man! You've got initiative!"

Johnny grinned and gave him the thumbs up. "Just doing my job."

"That's great Man." Leo grinned. "Just don't make me look bad in front of the boss okay?"

Savannah waved. "I do?"

"What, you going to punish me if I do?" She grinned. Savannah looked at him and nodded. "He came to tell me why Summer got so protective of him that she attacked me... and he says that she now knows that I'm not like that." She shrugged.

He quirked a lopsided grin at her. "I might." Taking another sip of coffee he listened to her explain. "Why did she get so protective over him? They're not dating, are they?"

Laughing, he said, "You got it, dude. What you up to today anyway?"

"I dunno yet. I wanna take advantage of my day off though."

Leo squinted at her, confused. "Yeah. I dunno from where though."

"...and yet you are here," Johnny clucked his tongue and shook his head. "Dude, you need to find a chick and cut loose."

"He says they're not, and I believe him." She sighed. "Her best friend back home died recently and Chris is her best friend here. Thus, overprotectiveness."

"You ever been to New Falls?" She winced inwardly, wondering if he had seen all of the news coverage from a few years ago.

"Ah, that'll do it. You going to talk to her and get things squared away?" he asked, concerned.

"Uhmmm...I don't think so. Have you ever been to Montana?"
