Johnny slept in. It was an accident. So he opened the Hut just a tad late and hoped Leo wasn't around to chew his butt. Not that he was expectinbg that, but regardless, Johnny usually wasn't so irresponsible.

Who was he kidding? Yes he was.

Isabel had taken a walk into town to grab some lunch, realizing it was Wednesday, she decided to stop by and visit Johnny.

"Hey stranger. Miss me?"

"Hey, you!" he said with a wide grin. "Where've you been hiding?"

"Roswell for the last week," she answered with a grin of her own. "My brothers are back. I had to go see them to so I'd believe it."

"That's great! How are they?"

"Tired, but glad to be home," Isabel said, her smile fading as she thought about how worried she still was about them. "They've been through a lot. It's going to take them some time to get over it."

"Are they home for good?" he asked her softly.

"Yeah. It's all over," she replied quietly. "The planet's gone so there's no more need for a king, his second in command or the princess."

Johnny was almost sorry he mention any of this from the look and quietness about her. "Everything's going to be all right then, isn't it Isabel?"

"It is. I'm just thinking about all the people. Max and Michael helped as many get off planet as they could but still, a lot of people died." Isabel looked down and shrugged a shoulder. "The thing is, I can't help thinking that I can have a life now that doesn't involve saving a planet. I can just be Isabel and think about things like college and a future. Does that make me selfish?"

"Absolutely not," he said and reached out for her hand. "It makes you normal, a teenager with a whole life ahead of her."

Savannah, of course, showed up with coffee.

Isabel was more then happy to squeeze his hand. "That's actually a scary thought in some ways. Especially when I think about college applications. I thought I wouldn't have to worry about that."

"Hey, babe," he said when he saw her walk in. He came around the counter and took the coffee from her, grinning. "You are so sweet to me."

"You're bright, Isabel, smart, sexy and intelligent. Who wouldn't accept you?" Johnny was biased towards her and that was clearly evident. Their friendship meant a great deal to him.

"I don't think sexy counts as an admissions criteria," she laughed, appreciating the compliment. "I need to figure out where I want to go. What I want to do. I think I might have to lock myself in my room for the next few weeks and research."

Isabel raised an eyebrow, "Unless I can just go with you after graduation and maybe join in on the superhero thing?"

Savannah smiled up at him. "I like doing this for you, love."

"Sexy would so count in my admissions policy," he teased. "And no locking yourself away; you'd make too many people worry."

Johnny laughed. "Considering the fact that I don't graduate for another two years almost, we could work on your superhero powers and maybe, just maybe you could join the Fantastic Four."

"I know and I appreciate it," he leaned down, kissing her soft mouth. "How are you feeling today?"

"The College of Johnny? That could be interesting. I'd think that exams would be very hands on," Isabel teased. "I promise if I lock myself away, you have my permission to come and drag me out to have fun."

"As for the Fantastic Four becoming the Fabulous Five, we'll have to see about that."

She smiled, kissing him back. "A little tired. I hope I didn't wake you up last night with the nightmares and everything. I was trying to be quiet."

"Very hands on," he said with a wry smirk. "And count on it."

"Eh, you could be my sidekick thus the Fantastic Four would stay the Fantastic Four." What?

"I... didn't even hear you, god, I'm such a lousy boyfriend," he grumbled the last. "What kinds of dreams?"

She grabbed him and shook her head with a frown. "Johnny, I'm very good at being quiet and hiding when I'm upset. You are not a lousy boyfriend. You're a wonderful boyfriend."

"Sidekick? Oh hell no!" she replied shaking her head. "I refuse to wear any sort of clingy costume if I don't at least get equal billing."

"Then why are you having nightmares? Am I not holding you close enough at night?" Worry etched his tone and he held her close.
