Robin's Show That Is Doomed To Remain Unnamed [afternoon]

"Hello again, Fandom!" Robin spun in her chair, smiling a smile of evil. "It's Tuesday afternoon, which as you know means you get to listen to me for a little while. Before I get on with the requests and advice and all that, I'd like to take a moment to talk to the students in particular. Some of you might know my good friend, Professor Stinson. Some of you might even be taking his class. If any of you would like to hear any anecdotes about your teacher, such as why 'Swarley' is his preferred name -- please, call him that, he's shy about asking people to -- feel free to stop by the station. We go way back, old Swarles and I."

"And aside from that, I'm here to take your calls!"

She's not afraid to hang up on people who talk about robots.

Because she's good at that.

Where Robin is gleefully spinning in her chair and trying to think of ~~embarrassing~~ interesting Barney stories.

And this is the last week that I will disappear for a huge chunk of the afternoon, YAY.

"Hello, I would like to know more about Swarley. It sounds like such an interesting name."

After all, why ask in person when so many more people could hear this way.

"It is," Robin told him, grinning. "Deviations also include Swarles, Swarlos, Swarhili, and any derivation of those. It's a noble, ancient name, which is why Professor Stinson prefers for everyone to call him that. If he argues the point, of course, ignore him. Blame me, if you want. He's very shy about it."

"So I've noticed," Zack said. "He seems very fond of nicknames."

"Yeah," Robin said, raising her eyebrows. "Did he give you one?"

"No, just detention."

"What'd you do?" Robin could always give tips on how to better annoy Barney.

"All I did was complete the assignment of making an online dating profile," Zack said. "It's not my fault he didn't say to make it the right gender."

"Hi, I am in Professor Stinson's class. I am loathe to call him a professor though. I'm not sure what he is a professor of. He gave me detention and called me a ho." Pause. "Well he called me a ho first then gave me detention."

Robin smiled slowly. "And why would he give you detention for that?"

"Mmm," Robin said sympathetically. "Why'd he give you detention?"

"Because he called me a ho and then I refused to play laser tag. Because he called me a ho."

"Something to do with him trying to make dates online instead of teaching class. Tragic, really."

Robin had to step away from the mic to have a coughing fit. That's what it was.

"Oh, how terrible," she said after a moment. "You know what Swarles loves talking about? Driving. Ask him if you can do some kind of class involving cars. He looooves driving. So much. Almost as much as being called Swarley."

"I'll be sure to bring it up with him," Zack said.

"He probably didn't mean it as an insult," Robin said, certain he hadn't really meant it as a compliment either. "Every time he calls you a ho, just smile and call him Swarley. I swear, it works like a charm."

"Oh, and the subway," she added. "Swarley is all about the transportation. He's run a marathon, you know, and he got to ride the subway for free after he did it. Ask him about how that went."

"I would like to think he didn't mean it as an insult. He called all the girls in his class ho's. I'm no a ho." Pause. Annette wouldn't get into that. "Swarley. Got it. Does it mean something to him?"

"I'm sure he holds it fondly in his memories."

"I'm positive he does."

"Yes," Robin said, nodding even though she couldn't be seen. "It's what we call him at home."

"Will it... embarrass him?" Cause Annette would love that.
