Through the town: Late, late Monday night [After radio]
The Grinch, he arrived and he slunk through the town
Glaring at the displays of Christmas he found.
"No, this won't do, no it won't do at all,"
he muttered and grumbled and started to crawl
Through the shadows and alleys, the rotten old creep
While every last person was falling asleep
With his poor little dog, slinking behind
He made his way through the streets, to see what he could find
"A manor, a manor, so perfect this is,"
he gleed to himself, plans starting to fizz
and bubble and brew in his nasty old brain.
He'd ensure that Christmas would never again
bring happiness, joy. "I hate them all so,
and now, with my plan, they will never grow."
He waited 'til the isle was cloaked all in silence
Then crept out to wreak havoc (though he'd never be violent)
Clad in Santa Claus's guise, he did snicker and sneer
While his poor little dog was done up as a deer
And snuck into each home, the rotten old sod
[With permission only; it does not do to mod]
And he stole all the presents and the food and the wreaths
But he left behind all of the bright shiny trees
Stripping them bare of even the lights
Then he slunk and he crept and he vanished from sight
And the poor little dog, he dragged it all back
To the manor acquired tobring Christmas Crack
Panting and gasping, antlers slipping over his eyes
He dug in and dragged it, wanting to die
Shedding tinsel and balls as the sled jerked along
(those might come in handy, before not too long)
"Move it you lazy old horrible old dog,
or your cute little tocks I surely will flog."
And the dog he did move it, and the Grinch he did grin
And settled in 'til the morning, to gloat over his win.
[ooc: NFB, cause it takes place post-Radio. I'll ping him into each post when I can, to creep and steal and snicker and sneer, and link each of those here. I'm mid-Christmas celebrations, so it might be a bit until I get to the posts of stealorz!]
