He'd replaced the door with something plastic for the occasion. It functioned like a door, but the little Open sign had gone missing in yesterday's scuffle.

Cable had thoughtfully ducttaped a sheet of paper reading Open on it in a weak moment.

He also was still out of a desk, so he'd salvaged the phone to place the calls necessary to get it fixed, and was now piecing together parts of the Penetraitor Harness.

It could still be useful.

Ino eyed the 'door' with amusement when she slipped inside, after third period, which was rather later than she usually did.

"You should've thrown him harder, Cable-san," Ino said, sounding a bit put-out and looking at what had happened to the store.

"...what happened to your door?" Michael asked curiously, glancing back at it as he came in.

"Probably," Cable returned, leaning back in his chair.

Which, luckily, was still mostly intact.

"Someone tried to steal something," Cable offered, calmly, without taking his eyes off his new electronics project.

"A lot harder." She wandered over to him. It wasn't quite the same without the desk but oh well. "Have you seen Deadpool-san? He wasn't in class this morning." Which was a bit weird. And she figured Cable-san would know if anyone did.

That, apparently, was a good enough explanation.

"Huh. How far did they fly?"

"Deadpool's gone?" That got a minor pause. "I don't exactly monitor his movements." You know. Anymore. "I'm sure he'll be back eventually."

He was kind of hard to get rid of, sometimes.

Yes. The device could be useful anyway. With a couple of days' rewiring... "He hit the ocean." Pause. "Over there." Somewhere.

"He never came to class today. Sora had to do the lecture." She shrugged. "I just thought you might know, that's all."

Michael laughed.

"Wish I'd seen it."

Wade hadn't been in class. Cable made a mental note of it and moved on. "Has he ever done that before?"

"Living on an island has its upsides," Cable deadpanned, in return.

"And this island has more than most."

She shook her head. "He's always shown up before." Pause. "Can Deadpool-san get sick? Or does his healing factor make that impossible? We thought he might just not be feeling well, but..." Who knew?

"He doesn't." Wade had enough sick to last him a lifetime. But one class's worth of disappearance simply wasn't conclusive enough-- "Give it a day," Cable said, simply.

"And its share of risks." There were some things you just didn't forget. Like plagues. Or bursting out into song for no good reason.

"Yes, Cable-san," Ino looked a wee bit rebellious, but really what could she do? Not much. "How are you, anyway? Besides the store being not at it's best?"

"True enough. Weird risks."

"I'm fine," Cable answered automatically. Which was pretty much all he had. "Trying to recover what I can."

He'd made some more mental notes to the tune of paying close attention to radio that night, assigning 'Wade's gone' to a mid-to-low-level priority in the back of his mind.

He'd reevaluate later.

"Depends on what you're used to," Cable replied, pulling a wire.

"How goes it?" Ino eyed the... thing he had the parts of. "And what is that supposed to be anyway?"
