The end of the causeway: Wednesday later afternoon
Harriet had her back to the carpark, because she was staring across the causeway at the angel statue which was staring back at her. She knew damned well it hadn't been there before.
A noise caught her attention, a splash of water under the causeway, and she glanced away for the briefest of seconds.
When she looked back, it was gone.
[ooc: for one, plz -- and I guess Harriet's just too old to be much of a meal!]

Or something like that.
Now fully armor-clad and ready, whatever level of annoyance she generally tended to broadcast was nowhere to be found. Instead, her back was straight, her eyes were sharp, and the soft blue pulse that occasionally swept through her armor just helped to establish the presence of readiness.
"What's the plan?" she asked, and allowed Harriet the courtesy of actually saying it out loud. For once.

Damn Earth. Damn politicians. She regarded the portal -- damn swirly portal -- for about two seconds before stepping straight through.

She was actually quite fond of Earth.
