Luke's Diner, March 14 (Friday)
The diner's front door was unlocked, and there was a buffet cart with toast, mashed potatoes, bacon, salad, and soup by the counter, as well as several carafes of coffee.
A hand-scrawled sign on the cash register read:BRB, KICKING STATUES. FOOD FREE.
Actually, Yitzhak had locked himself into the storeroom and didn't plan to come out for a while. Last night he'd had a dream where one of those statues turned into Hedwig and sent him back to a time before glitter makeup. Would you come out of hiding after trauma like that?
Luke's is open. Unless you're an angel statue. Then you're -- well, it's not like the manager's here to stop you, is it?
