The York Gallery; Thursday [ 04/03 ]
The oh-so-handwavey construction on the building had been going well; the layout was set and the paint was drying and everything was, much to Charlotte's relief, going nicely according the schedule. She even got herself set up in the little front reception area, working away on making sure all the details that didn't involve the remodeling would be perfect for the opening next week. Drinks, snacks, obsessively making sure the exhibit would be in on time...
And, of course, there was the issue of employment. Of course, Charlotte knew that, in a pinch, she would be able to run the whole shebang on her own, but it would be rather nice on her nerves if she didn't have. She'd debated on whether or not to put the banner up, worried that it might look a little tacky, but, either way, she still didn't have her sign for the gallery, so up it went, draped over the front of the building and declaring the Gallery's upcoming opening on Wednesday of next week.
Settled in the corner of the large windows in the front of the building, as well, was a much less obvious but still noticeable sign, in the prettiest letters Charlotte could find: "Help Wanted -- Inquire Within."
