Okay, I admit it. I own the Schrödinger's Cat (http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/ladies/6f59/) shirt. My inner geek is not so inner, and is rather shameless.

It was a Monday, which means that there was a Dōjima breezing into the shop with lunch.

What was different from usual, however, was the fact she had three lunchbags, and a ~~permissively modded~~ Rikku firmly in-tow. "Ohaiyo, Romeo! I brought company!"

"Ohaiyo to you both," Romeo grinned, setting aside a pile of shirts bearing slogans devoted to different brands of alcohol. "How are you?"

Rikku got a wave, once his hands were free, but he attempted to give Yurika a quick kiss.

He could have a quick kiss, one that promised more later, but she was here on Serious Business today. "I'm taking Rikku shopping," she said, tossing a grin at the other girl. "Care to lend your professional eye to the proceedings?"

Rikku was totally going to grin and be interested in things over here while they said hi.

"We're here to shop," Rikku said. (After they were finished with their greeting.) "I, uh, apparently need some stuff? Kind of a lot, I think. Hi!"

He actually did have some restraint in front of people he knew, so the kiss's promise of more later was more than enough. "My professional aye, as well as my professional nay, would be honored," he averred, before turning to Rikku ~~in hopes of a unified thread~~.

"Hi!" Romeo repeated, brushing his hair back. "We've got rather a lot of stuff, I think. Are you two going to start anywhere in particular, or should I just tag along as you have the run of the place? All our spring stuff is in by now."

Eve figured that since she was going to be working at Charlotte's art gallery, she should go shopping for work clothes. She didn't exactly need a lot, since she was only working two days a week and she had some decent stuff in her closet, but part of the fun of a new job was shopping for new work clothes, dammit!

And that of course meant Pixie Dust and the recommendations of its employees. She gave Romeo a smile as she walked into the store.

Romeo smiled at the girl he vaguely recognized from Ethics class. "Eve, is it?" he tried. "Can I help you find anything?"

"Yep, it is and yes, you can," she said with a nod. "I need something suitable for working in an art gallery."

"I noticed the fliers on that," Romeo mused, wondering if it might be a good place to take Yurika. "You're working there? Congratulations."

He walked over to a rack of dresses. "If you want a dress, this is nice, or this if you like more color. And this is very simple. But we have a lot of styles, look around"

"She needs all sorts of things, maybe start with cute tops and some pants?" Dōjima looked over Rikku critically. "I'll start on shoes if you help her with clothes?"

"I have cute tops," Rikku said, pointing to her omnipresent orange shirt. "This is totally cute. Okay, maybe I could use more. And shoes ... do not put me in heels again? Please? I nearly broke my ankle at Valentine's, those things were like four inches."

Luckily Reno had ... no thinking about Reno.

"Cute tops that aren't orange?" Romeo suggested, watching Yurika head back to the shoes. He knew Rikku wouldn't go for black, so he pulled out a red one and a green one and a green t-shirt with a neat slogan and a navy tunic and a simpler navy top and a multicolored mesh top.

"Do any of those look right for you?"

"I'm not wearing those!" Rikku called over to Dōjima. "I only wear heels for fancy things! I'm not gonna break my ankle just 'cause it's Tuesday!"

"Sorry," she said, turning back to Romeo and looking over the tops he pulled out. "Ooooh. Okay. These?" And with that she grabbed the red, the light green, the t-shirt and the mesh. "I like. And ... oooh, am I allowed to pick things out, too, or is that kinda off-limits?"

"Of course, though Dojima may exercise a veto," Romeo said, staying out of the heels-vs-flats discussion entirely. "Look through the racks, and I'll see if I can find some pants."

"But the brown ones will be cute with those two blue shirts!" she objected, pouting. "Fiiiiiiine. Rikku had boot issues. Shhh.

"Um. So. How about ... this? Or this kinda kicky red one, or something all weird and pretty like this?" She looked up hopefully. "And I know there's orange on it, but I have to get this. I have to."

She was also fingering a black-and-white tank, idly. No colors, but ... there was something pretty about it.

Romeo considered them. "I like the red and the one you must have," he said, and, noticing where her fingers were, added, "And the black lace. And would you wear something like this?"

He gestured to rack of jeans. "Jeans are jeans, I fear, except for the fit. But this red pair might look nice with some of the things you're trying on."

"If she doesn't pick the lace, I'm picking it for her!" "Okay, okay," Rikku said, waving her hands a little. "Uh. Lots of shoes. Um. Ooooh, I like those! All of those, the first pair especially? And I need those red jeans. Are there more jeans that are short like that? It feels stupid covering my legs up the whole way."

She climbed Mount Gagazet in green short-shorts. In drifts of snow. Logic did not apply, here.

"Okay. So I'm trying on ... the green tops? And both reds? And the one I totally need? Am I missing anything? And are skirts more for the fancy-type stuff or can I wear them with normal tops?"

"There are plenty of cropped jeans," Romeo told her. "Just don't try on any gauchos, they're unfortunate."

"I like the way skirts look," he added. "Denim, maybe? Or plain cotton, so it feels less ... flouncy-girly." Though he liked the flouncy-girly, which explained the last skirt in the handful he gave her.

Yurika was well-aware of Romeo's taste in skirts, so she was trying not to smirk too much as she wandered back over to the other two, arms laden with shoes. "She'd look cute in flouncy. You'd flounce very nicely, Rikku."

"I bounce. Bounce is not flounce," she giggled. "Bubble hems just look weird. It's like, hey! No hem here! It's a trick! And that's unnerving and it bugs me."

She grabbed the rest of the skirts. "But these I'll try. And the shoes even. SOME of the shoes."

"I have faith you could bounce and flounce at once," Romeo said, waving Rikku to a dressing room he had, actually, never made out in. "Go. Try them on. We'll stay here and sit in judgment."

"I get to sit in judgment? Fantastic!" Yurika cheered. "I feel important now!"

Her throne of judgment just happened to look suspiciously like Romeo's lap. Huh. Funny, that.

"Do I have to show you guys all of these?" Rikku asked from behind the door. She hung everything up, staring a bit at how much there was. "Or just the ones I like?"

Romeo nuzzled against Dojima's ear and wrapped his arms around her waist before answering. He entirely approved of her chosen seat of judgment. "Go with what you like," he called. "Unless you've a great desire to try everything on. I don't mind, either way."

"Yeah, just what you like," Yurika agreed absently. The nuzzling was distracting, and she giggled quietly before returning her attention to Rikku's question. "Although if you've got a question about why something doesn't work, you can always come out and ask."
