Cable had opened the store-- early. Very, very early. So early the lights had stuck out during the early hours.

Checks, a sweep of the place after the week he'd been gone, the back room all set up... everything was in its place. As was Cable, sitting behind the desk.

He was feeding the baby. Tether was interested enough in the process to lurk by his feet.
