Wellspring Arms, Tuesday

There was a small chihuahua and an angry kitten in Wellspring today.

Temari was more than just mildly interested in how this would go over. Honestly, she had her money on the kitten.

Alice dropped a curtsy to the girl. Which was somewhat unusual to attempt while wearing jeans and a tee shirt, instead of her usual blue dress, but she was adjusting.

"Good morning," she said.

Alice nodded to the animals, then stepped around them and into the meditation room.

After a few moments, she came back out again, frowning slightly.

"Am I the first here today?"

"I see," Alice frowned. "I believe I shall go in and wait for them, for a bit, if that's all the same to you."

Alice ran through her practice mok'bara motions, looking around for either Worf or Andrew.

"Thank you," Alice said, dropping another curtsy -- so strange in these trousers -- before heading back to the meditation room for a short while.

Tearing himself away from ambushing the small dog, the kitten sat in front of the room staring at Alice and mewing in an indignant fashion whenever she made a wrong move.

At some point both the dog and the cat got into it under one of the display cases.

The dog ended up yelping and running to hide behind Temari while the kitten stalked backed to the meditation room with a smug look on its face.

Alice paused, noticing the cat, and then laughed, kneeling to offer her hand to it.

"Good morning, little one," she smiled. "Have you come to assist me?"

The cat mewed in indignation. Could she not see he was a proud warrior and that he was trying to...

The cat huffed in frustration. If this continued it'd all in up in... head scritches.

That is not the proper way to treat a warrior.

Alice frowned when the cat mewed and huffed.

"It's all right, you know," she said in a lowered voice. "I don't bite. I'd say you could ask Dinah for reference, but she isn't here. Pity."

But he was not a cat! The paw waved in the air to try and demonstrate that he was in fact a Klingon. A proud warrior race. One that wasn't usually reduced to a cute furry domesticated animal.

"Hello," Alice smiled, reaching out to take his paw. "It's lovely to meet you. I thought only dogs knew how to shake."

You really wouldn't think that a cat could facepalm. This one did.

Maybe if he did a movement of the mok'bara she'd see that... a cat would fall over and roll when trying to get into a stance.

This was very humiliating.

Alice couldn't help giggling at that.

"That was a very good attempt," she said, nodding. "I shall tell the rest of the class when they arrive."

He looked adorable lying there. Would he possibly allow her to scratch his belly?

Worf just lay on the ground disgusted with himself. If there was a time for Kahless to come back to life and destroy him this would be a good moment.

Belly scratches. For a warrior. Surely he'd never be able to live this down.

Maybe later he would destroy one of Ino's plants and see if that would bring back some kind of satisfaction.

Belly scratches, for the delightfully grumpy cat who was assisting her in mok'bara. It seemed an appropriate way to say thank-you.
