At work, Johnny decided to actually work, so rag in hand, he was actually wiping down tables and booths, feeling rather productive and worthy.

The kitchen staff kept snickering at him but he totally didn't care.

Savannah saw him working and dropped down into a booth quietly so as not to disturb him.

Johnny noticed her immediately and slid into the seat across from her, the rag he dropped onto the table behind him. "Hey babe."

"Not bad; just keeping myself busy," he answered, smiling at her. "How's your's?"

She gave him a mock pout, but her eyes were full of laughter. "So you're saying you'd want me to get led away naked and in handcuffs?"

She laughed, leaning over the table to kiss him.

He leaned forward to kiss her back. "Mmm, have any classes today?"

"Later or tomorrow," she said with a smile. "I'm yours. What's the plan?"

He shrugged. "I don't much have one. I just need... I'm working on the level of control I have over my flame, Savannah. Engulfed, I need to hold you and protect you from myself at the same time." He arched a brow. "It sounds dangerous, I know. But I can do it. I promise you I won't hurt you."

He blinked. "Are you sure, babe? I don't want to do something that you would ultimately be uncomfortable with."
