Outside Taste of Thai, Thursday Evening

Myn hadn't felt like attempting to cook, and Eric had been hungry too. As roommates, it was only natural to offer to go to dinner together and solve the problem for both of them.

"That was really good," Myn commented as they left the restaurant. "Thank you for coming with me, Eric."

It totally hadn't been a date. At all.

(up early for sp purposes, and so totally open to anyone...including any teachers who want to give out detention, after The Event happens. Eric totally modded with permission.)

Of course it wasn't a date. Wasn't Eric just so very obviously straight?

"Hey, it was my pleasure," Eric replied, smile on his face. "It was good to get out and eat, rather than ordering in all the time."

"Yeah, definitely," Eric said, unable to stop his grin. "Maybe try a different restaurant next week? Ooh, have you tried Mexican food yet?"

And then, suddenly, Myn's hands weren't in the pockets of his jeans. Because he didn't have pockets. Or jeans.

Or any clothes at all.

And neither, for that matter, did Eric.

There was a sound that could only be described as a 'squawk'; Eric would deny, if ever asked afterwards, that it had come from him. Regardless, he stared down at himself, at Myn, and at himself, and then threw his hands in front of... ... himself. "What happened to our clothes?"

[Yes. Yes, we are evil to our characters. 'Lost' clothes brought to you by this week's weekly prompt. ;) ]

"Uh, yeah," Eric said, his eyes darting around. "... Run for it?" he asked.

He totally wasn't trying to draw attention away from the... inevitable reaction to seeing his attractive older roommate in the all-together. Not at all.

At least he had an excuse. He was a fourteen-year-old boy, after all; he could just claim that there was a breeze.

Eric was following, yes, after a long stare subtle glance at Myn's backside that totally didn't help his inevitable reaction. Still, the embarrassment of the situation caught up with him enough to calm it down.

He ran along behind Myn, doing his best to keep himself covered.

There were surprisingly few people about through the early part of the run; Eric hoped that their luck held out long enough for them to get back to their rooms.

Yeah. Because that was likely.

... That icon will never stop being funny. :D

Eric stared at Myn as they ran, forgetting for a moment to cover himself; this time, the staring was for a completely different reason. "Don't say that," he said, shocked. "You'll give the island ideas!"

Eric relaxed just slightly, enough to remember to cover himself once again, and began again the run to the dorms. "We'll be fine, right?" he said. "Of course we'll be fine."

Mike was just leaving the building, having looked over a few areas with the thought of improving the school's surveillance. He wasn't sure if it was needed, but it felt good to get back to what he used to do.

He was distracted, but not enough to miss the sight of two naked boys. "What the hell is going on here?" he shouted.

"It's not our fault!" Eric exclaimed, the first thing he thought of. "They just disappeared!"

"I have heard of some crazy stories in my day, but this takes the cake," said Mike. "What kind of school do you think we're running here? You can't just go running around in the buff!"

Maybe it was that he was feeling nostalgic for his old job in Las Vegas, but Mike was certainly channeling his inner Ed Deline.

Eric blanched. "We'll... never do it again?"

He was used to the van der Woodsen name -- and money -- getting him out of any situation. Well, not him, but he'd seen Serena do it enough times. Somehow, though, he didn't think that would work here.

"Oh, it better not happen again," said Mike, pulling out his PDA. "But just to be certain, I think you boys need to spend some time thinking about this -- in detention. I'll need your names."

Eric winced, but never once considered not giving his real name. "Eric van der Woodsen, sir," he said, mimicking Myn's method of address.

He really hoped his mother didn't hear about this.

"I hope a Saturday morning in detention will teach you boys a lesson," said Mike, jotting down both names. "Now, get out of here and go get a towel, please."

It was all Eric could do to nod. "Right away," he agreed. "Definitely. I'll, uh, go do that." With a glance at Myn, he darted off, hoping that his roommate was right behind him.
